"You already know i don't mind baby." She said.
"They wanna meet you."
"Ok. We should go somewhere. We been cooped up in this house forever."
"Where you wanna go?"
"See where they want to go." She said. I know it was only because she didn't want to pick. She hates making decisions.
Her phone rung and i was closer so i answered.
"Hello?"
"Is La'rena there?" An unfamiliar male voice asked.
I handed her the phone and she put it on speaker.
"Hello?"
"Hey Rena my momma been askin about you lately."
"I gave her my number. Just tell her to call me." She made a face.
"She wants to see you. C-" "hey baby can you come to church tomorrow? I have yo number but ion know how ta use dis damn phone." Ms. Regina interrupted.
"Yes ma'am I'll be there." Rena chuckled.
I was mostly paying attention to the movie until the nigga got back on the phone.
"So I'll see you on Sunday?" He asked. Rena rolled her eyes and i scrunched my face up.
"Yea sure." She said.
"Okay bye"
"Bye"
After she hung up she told me who it was and how they were in school.
"So you're going to church Sunday?" I asked.
"We're going to church sunday." She corrected.
I got a call from Lamar. I was surprised since he hasn't talked to anyone for the last few months following karen's funeral.
He asked if he could come over and chill for awhile to talk. I of course said yes and for him to text me when he gets here.
