I sat in the waiting room trying to relax. La'rena didn't really have much family so i called her cousin and my grandma.

I let Lamar know and he said he would come visit in the morning.

Rena's cousin was a mess when she arrived. Her aunt looked like she wanted to cry but stayed strong for her daughter. When my grandma came she sat next to me rubbing my back.

"What happened?" She asked.

"I don't know. It happened so fast. First Leviticus was coughing up blood and once we got here Rena passed out holding her stomach. It's all my fault. I should've gotten here fast-"

"Don't do that D. This isn't your fault. You cant see into the future. Im sure they'll be fine." She gave me a small smile as a few tears still fell from her eyes.

"Momma what if something goes wrong and she doesn't make it?" I heard Elena cry.

"Positive thoughts baby. You know she's strong. She'll be ok." The aunt said.

I was kinda confused because i was almost sure Rena and her didn't get along at all.

I guess she caught the look i was giving her because she introduced herself.

"We haven't formally met. Im Keisha. La'rena's aunt." She said with a slight smile.

"And i take it that you're her baby's father?" She asked.

"Future husband." I corrected.

"Im sorry. But do i have the right place? Im looking fir La'rena Oakes." A man went up to the front desk.

"Over here." Keisha said.

I looked up and the man came over and hugged Keisha.

"Is she okay?" He asked.

"We haven't heard anything yet." She said sadly.

"Umm excuse me who the fuck are you?" I asked.

"This is her father." Keisha answered.

"Oh hell nah. You gotta leave." I stood up.

"Im not here to cause trouble. I just want to make sure she's okay." He put his hands up in defense.

"I ain't ask you none of dat. I said you need to fuckin leave nigga." I spoke up again.

"Calm down baby." My grandma said standing up walking closer.

"I ain't finna calm down. How you gone come in this bitch and talk about seeing yo daughter when you ruined her fuckin life. She aint gone wanna see you. You lucky i aint shoot yo ass as soon as you walked in. So leave before i murk yo pussy ass." I felt my grandma put her and hand on my shoulder.

Elena was started crying harder and nosy ass people started surrounding us.

He backed down and looked at Keisha with sad eye's.
