C H A P T E R 11

6:26 pm

"Okay so tell me what happened." I say as I hand her a water.

She took a few deep breaths and wiped her tears away from her face.

"Well I was in my room doing my homework, when jack called and asked if I was sitting down. I said yes and asked him why and he said because he just saw Caleb with another girl at the skating park." She says.

"Wait what? Caleb doesn't skate?" I say.

"That's what I told jack, but jack said he was watching them because he wasn't if that was him or not. He then said he saw Caleb give the girl a kiss on the forehead. And him and Caleb met eyes and that's when jack knew it was Caleb." She said.

All I could do was stare at her. All Caleb would talk about is marrying Sadie and being in love with her for forever, it didn't make any sense.

I gave her a hug and she started to cry again.

"Listen, I know it's a school night but why don't you sleep over tonight, my mom is out of town and I will just be me, you and my sisters." I say.

"No, I need to talk to him. But can you please come with me?" She asks.

"I would love too but I have the girls here."

"Oh you're right." She says with a sad face.

"Maybe I can try to get them a babysitter until we get back." I say.

"Who?" She says.

"Just give me a second"

I walk into my room and call Finn.

"Hello?" He says.

"Hey finn, I need a favor."

"Okay what's up?"

"Can you come over and watch my sisters for like an hour maybe 2? I'll pay you and give you money so you can take them to get food. Please?"

"Um okay, but what's going on?" He says.

"Caleb cheated on Sadie and she needs me to go with her to confront him." I say.

"Oh okay I be there in about 10 minutes!" He says.

I hang up the phone and brought Isla and Scarlett to the living room until Finn got here.

"Okay girls, me and Sadie need to talk to someone because they hurt Sadie's feelings, so while we are gone, my friend Finn is going to watch y'all until I get back okay?"

"When will you be back?" Isla asks.

"I won't be gone for too long, I'll be home before you go to sleep okay?" I say.

Isla nodded and I gave them both a hug and a kiss on the head.

Once Finn got here, I handed him the money and Sadie and I ran out the house.

It took us 10 minutes of running to get to his house. We knocked on the door and his mom answered.

"Oh hi ladies, can I help you?" She says as she crosses her arms and stares at me.

Caleb's mom has never liked me, I'm not sure why, it used to bother me but now I don't give a shit.

"Is Caleb here?" Sadie asks.

"No, no he's at a friends house, why?" His mom asks.

"Do you know who's house he's at?" I ask.

"That's none of your business." She says as she rolls her eyes at me.

"Please ma'am? I really need to talk to him." Sadie says.

She stares at Sadie for a second.

"Okay, well I don't know exactly where she lives but he's at a girls house. Oh Sadie I didn't want to keep it from you because I see you as family and I knew what he was doing was wrong." Caleb's mom says. She gives Sadie a hug and starts crying.

"Thank you so much ma'am, but do you know the girls name?" Sadie asks.

"Um I think her name is aly?"

Sadie and I look at each other. That's Derek's little sister.

"Okay, thank you, we know where to find him." I say as I grab Sadie's hand and start running.

"Bye mrs Mclaughlin!" Sadie says.
