Genesis' POV

It's the afternoon, and all of my third graders have left for home. Today, Sarai broke her arm. I could've prevented it from happening, but I didn't expect it to happen today.

Maybe this was what Pierce and Madame Chernov were referring to as to saving society. Yeah, they're using me, and I hate being used, but I guess it's for a good cause, right? They just want to know the future for S.H.I.E.L.D and HYDRA to prevent any wars or some disasters. That could basically change the whole world. Only peace would be around.

I guess it's also good for me too. I'm getting proper training in how to conquer my powers.

I was packing all of my paperwork into my bag. My mind lingered on my dream I had last night.

I frowned. "Wasn't HYDRA that evil group who wanted world domination?" I asked myself aloud. I sat in my desk, trying to recall what I knew about HYDRA. I smacked my head.

Come on, Genesis, think!

I groaned in frustration.

Who was Nick? Pierce mentioned that name in my dream. Project Insight...That's the project that gets rid of anyone who opposes HYDRA? That's a little brutal...

Arriving at Madame Chernov's session, the therapy chair was still there.

"Genesis, we are going to continue with what we did yesterday," she started. I nodded, sitting down. "However, this time, we are going to take things up a notch."

"Like what?" I asked for clarification.

"I want to see how far your abilities can stretch. You can see the future when you sleep, but can you see the future when you are awake?"

Wait, hold on, Alexander Pierce mentioned this last night!

"Uh...I mean, I can try? It might not work though," I warned.

"Don't worry. We have the time," Madame Chernov assured.

Are you sure? Cause Pierce said he was in a hurry?

"I want you to envision S.H.I.E.L.D. I want you to keep that in your head." I nodded, visualizing Alexander Pierce, Madame Chernov, Whitney, Brock, and some agents in the Triskelion. "Focus on its future. Don't go to sleep."

I stared at the black walls with S.H.I.E.L.D. in my mind. Ten minutes have passed.

This was boring.

It felt as if time wasn't moving at all. I turned to Madame Chernov. "Am I supposed to see something? I don't see anything."

"I don't know. I don't have these powers. Concentrate harder," she snapped.

Alright, alright, calm down.

I squinted, trying to summon any visions. After a minute of dead silence, I turned to her again. "Sorry, nothing."

She sighed in defeat. "Just go to sleep and dream about S.H.I.E.L.D. instead. I'll be right back." She stormed out of the room and left me to my inner thoughts of S.H.I.E.L.D.

All of a sudden, I couldn't see anything except for these floating black dots dancing in my eyes.

What the...

I tried to shake them away, but they wouldn't leave. I recalled the incident at the café with Steve.

Oh no.

"Attention all S.H.I.E.L.D. agents," an eminent man without a mask in a red, white, and mainly blue stealth suit announced. The white star in the middle of his outfit was notable. "This is Steve Rogers," he introduced, towering over the microphone. "You've heard a lot about me over the last few days. Some of you were even ordered to hunt me down. But I think it's time you know the truth. S.H.I.E.L.D. is not what we thought it was. It has been taken over by HYDRA. Alexander Pierce is their leader. The S.T.R.I.K.E. and Insight crew are HYDRA as well. We don't know how many more, but I know they're in the building. They could be standing right next to you. They almost have what they want: absolute control. They shot Nick Fury, and it won't end there. If you launch those helicarriers today, HYDRA will be able to kill anyone that stands in their way. They must be stopped. I know I'm asking a lot. The price of freedom is high; it always has been. But it's a price I'm willing to pay. And if I'm the only one, then so be it. But I'm willing to bet I'm not."
