Tonight was the night that the champions would be chosen. Dumbledore put the food on the tables and we ate. After everyone but Crabbe and Goyle were done, Dumbledore cleared off the tables.
"Now, for the champions to be chosen." Dumbledore said.
He stepped forwards and a piece of paper flew out of the goblet. Dumbledore caught it.
"Representing Durmstrang Academy is Viktor Krum!" Dumbledore said.
The Durmstrang boys erupted into an applause. The hall went back to being silent as Krum went into the champions room. Another piece of paper flew out and Dumbledore caught it.
"Representing Baeuxbatons is Flyer Delaceur!" Dumbledore said.
The hall erupted in applause as Fluer walked into the champions room. The room went silent as we awaited to see who the Hogwarts champion was. A piece of paper flew out and again, Dumbledore caught it.
"And the champion representing Hogwarts is Cedric Diggory!" Dumbledore said.
The Hufflepuff table was the loudest.
"Yes! Go Cedric!" I yelled.
I was actually terrified for my Hufflebuddy right now. This tournament kills people. Another piece of paper flew out and the hall erupted in whispers.
"Harry Potter...." Dumbledore muttered.
Everyone was silent.
"Harry Potter!!!!!" Dumbledore boomed.
Harry tried to sink into his seat but Hermione pushed him up and towards Dumbledore. Suddenly another piece of paper flew out and the headmaster caught it.
"Andrea Benton!!!" Dumbledore boomed.
I gulped and slowly stood up. All the Slytherin's glared at me as I walked to the front and stood next to Harry. I felt the sweat roll down my forehead.
"Did you two put your names in the goblet?" Dumbledore asked.
"No sir!" Harry answered in a panic.
I was terrified. Sabrina wrote about the Triwizard Tournament in one of her diaries.
"No sir! Why would I when I know all about it?!!!" I exclaimed in fear.
Dumbledore calmed down and sent us into the champions room. I was so scared I was on the verge of crying. Harry noticed this and held my hand.
"It's ok." Harry whispered.
"No it isn't Harry! We could die!" I yelled.
The other three champions looked at us. I blinked and a few tears fell.
"She lost her best friend to this tournament! She lost the one person who understood her! I don't want to do this!" I yelled.
There were footsteps coming down the stairs and the three headteachers were arguing. Down came Cornelius Fudge, Barty Crouch, McGonnagal, and the three headteachers.
"Harry, Andrea, did you two get an older student to put your names in the goblet?!!" Dumbledore asked.
"Did you not hear me?!! I don't want to do this!!! I don't know how anyone could want to do this!!!" I exclaimed.
Cornelius looked directly onto my eyes.
"You've gotta believe me, Fudge! A year in Azkaban was hell for me!!! Why would I want to do something else that could get me killed?!!" I yelled.
Cornelius nodded at me.
"Exactly. But the rules state that you have to compete in the tournament." Cornelius said.
I felt the tears come back as it started to get hard to breath. Suddenly everything went black....
I opened my eyes to see my great grandmother.
"They pulled my name out of the cup!!!" I yelled.
"Calm down! You'll be fine! Just be careful!" Sabrina said.
"What if I die?" I choked out. "What if everyone hates me now? What if I was stupid to come to Hogwarts just because I wanted to be just like you?"
"You won't die, you're tougher than my friend was. If everyone hates you just because of this then they're stupid. You weren't stupid, you just love too easily. You've got a big heart." Sabrina said.
I sniffled.
"I don't wanna do this..." I said.
I felt my heart rate speed up.
"Until next time, Sabrina." I said.
I closed my eyes and sighed.
When I opened my eyes again I was in the hospital wing. I sat up and looked around. I saw Hermione and Harry, Harry was sitting on a stool next to the bed and Hermione was sitting on the bed.
"Sorry about that. She had to calm me down." I said.
Harry and Hermione looked at me.
"You're alive?!! But your heart stopped!!!" Hermione said.
I chuckled.
"Takes alot more than stress to kill a Benton." I said.
Hermione sighed. I heard the door slam open and I looked over to see a pissed off Draco.
"What's wrong, Dray?" I asked.
"Don't you dare call me that!" Draco answered.
I was scared now.
"Draco, what's wrong?" I asked.
"Snape just told me the truth about Alex!" Draco answered.
I gulped.
"Draco, I was going to tell you, I swear. I just, wasn't ready. Alex has been avoiding me since he found out as it is." I said.
"What's going on?" Harry asked.
"You know Alex Benton? Well, hes my brother." I answered.
"Woah." Hermione said.
I gave them a small smile.
"When were you planning on telling me, Andrea? Next year? In three years? When you're dying?!!" Draco asked.
"I was going to tell you, I swear. It just wasn't the right time. I wanted to get to know him a little more before I told you." I answered.
"Really? Because it feels like you weren't. And what about the Tournament? Were you ever going to tell me about that?" Draco asked.
"Draco, I didn't have anything to do with the Tournament. I'll talk to you about it later alone." I answered.
"You two, out." Draco said.
Hermione and Harry left.
"How'd you're name get in the goblet?" Draco asked.
"Madame Pomfrey." I called.
Madame came out of her office.
"Yes." Madame said.
"Can you please leave the hospital wing for a minute, I need to have a super private conversation with Mr Malfoy." I said.
Madame left and I sighed.
"It's apart of Voldemort's plan. He'll reserect after the final tournament and he needs me to make sure Harry survives. Oh, and Moody isn't Moody, he's Barty Crouch Jnr so he'll be helping Harry out throughout the tournament." I answered Draco's question.
"Oh, ok. Then I won't hate you, I'll stay by you're side when Slytherin and everyone else won't." Draco said.
I smiled.
"Thank you." I said.
Madame walked in and I yawned.
"How are you tired?" Draco asked.
"I was dead, not sleeping." I answered.
"Oh, yeah. I forgot." Draco replied.
