Jina, three years old

Seokjin's POV

"Jina! Come to bed!" I yelled, and her tiny footsteps were heard trudging down the hallway.

I smiled when she grinned cheekily at me in her pyjamas.

"Come to bed, appa will read you your favourite storybook." I gestured her to come towards me, and she obliged happily.

Carrying her onto her bed that was filled with lots of soft toys that were gifted by the guys and me, of course, I tucked her into bed and chuckled when she placed the back of her head on my chest.

"The Little Mermaid." I begun the story, and saw Jina pointing eagerly at the drawing of a mermaid.

"Once upon a time, there lived a mermaid princess who lives underwater with her father, the King, and her six older sisters in the castle." I started reading the story while caressing Jina's shoulder-length hair.

I was about to flip to another page when I noticed Jina's breathing had gotten deeper and more even, implying that she was already fast asleep.

"That was fast." I told myself before gently placing Jina down onto her pillow, and covered her body with her blanket while leaving the bed.

I chuckled when I saw Jina sniffing her bolster that had been with her since the day she was borne.

"Is she already asleep?" Jieun asked while leaning on the doorway, her arms crossed in front of her.

"Yeah. To be honest, I never get to finish a storybook for her since she falls asleep very easily."

Jieun scoffed. "Good for you. She never falls asleep when I do that. Instead of doing that, she runs around the room, commanding me to bring you and the boys, claiming that I'm a bad storyteller or a singer whenever I try to sing her a lullaby, yadah yadah yadah. You get the point."

"I'm charming, and you both know it." I smirked at her, and laughed a little when she fake gagged.

Placing a kiss on Jina's forehead, I stood up from the bedside and walked towards Jieun.

"Do you have a night shift again?" She asked as we walked towards the front door.

"Yeah, unfortunately." I answered while massaging my temples.

"You shouldn't have wasted your resting time by spending time with Jina and I. You could have recharged yourself with sleep." Jieun pouted.

I flicked her forehead, making her yelp in pain.

"Are you kidding me? Jina is the source of my energy. Seeing her makes me feel more energetic already." I grinned goofily at the girl who was standing in front of me.

Smiling while shaking her head, she grabbed the white coat that was hung on the rack and gave it to me.

"Go save lives, Dr. Kim." Jieun laughed while pushing me out of the house after opening the door.

"Yah, do you not want me so badly here?" I pretended to be hurt by pouting while glancing at my wristwatch.

"Be careful on the way to the hospital, okay? I don't want you accidentally bumping your car onto someone else's car and then calling everyone to save your butt when it's already close to midnight." Jieun nagged while adjusting my tie and collars for me.

I grinned at her.

"You will still come and save me even if I called you, don't you think so?"

She glared at me.
