Chapter 14

"MOVE!" you yelled pushing Abel out of the way while throwing your cloak off just as your cloak came off your body projectiles ripped through it, you heard Abel groan in pain as one of them hit his side your expression darkened as anger started to course through your body.

You loaded a blade into your grip and threw it straight at your assailant's head piercing his skull and instantly killing him. You ripped up your cloak and wrapped Abel's wound "You alright?" "Yeah I'll manage" he responded throwing off his own cloak. Two more people with the same kind of weapon as the guy that shot at you before grappled up and aimed their guns at you and Abel, the two of you rolled out of the way as they fired their shots, you spun up and shot a hook from your ODM gear into one of them and reeled it back in "COME HERE!!" you yelled as you pulled her closer to you and put a deep cut in her neck killing her instantly. Abel fired his hook into the second person, reeling him in with a grunt and stabbed him right in the heart, once the blade sunk in he released it from the grip. You quickly crouched down and inspected the bodies "These are soldiers no doubt part of the MP" you stated aloud "What's the plan?" he asked looking out for more incoming hostiles you then eyed the bodies and mysterious weapons "I've got a stupid idea" you said while taking off your gear "How stupid we talking?" "So stupid that it'll be genius if it works" you replied as you moved the body of the female around inspecting where the straps and plating were as he replied to you "Works for me" you then removed the gear from the body and started equipping yourself with it, after a minute or so you had the gear completely on your body ready for use "This seems to be exactly the same as our ODM gear except with guns, these canisters seem to be preloaded with some kind of projectiles that spread across an area that's aimed at when fired" you noted then Abel started talking "These would be utterly useless against titans, whoever these soldiers are their sole purpose is to hunt down and kill us" he said and you nodded "Agreed" you then inspected the gun "Now we need to get to the wagon before they do let's go" you said shooting off with him not far behind you.

More MP soon came after you 'Time to give them a taste of their own medicine' you and Abel dodged the shots they fired, you pointed the guns at your attackers and squeezed the triggers shooting your own projectiles all of them meeting your targets and spilling their blood, Abel swung around cut the back of two more MP's necks like they were titans and instantly killed them, you hit the buttons on the side of the guns with your thumbs and placed the barrels onto the other canisters attached to the bandoliers around your thighs and reloaded before shooting the anchor of one of them into a building and started moving forward with your body facing backwards 'I'm starting to get the hang of this' you thought shooting another MP that was a little distance away from you and reloaded, one of them flew infront of Abel and he reacted fast enough to cut his neck before the soldier could even move. You shot another one down that popped up over a building from the rear then alternated the anchor you were using to the other one as you reloaded, you put bullets in two more soldiers before you turned your body around to face forward and started maneuvering through the buildings as you reloaded your guns. Eventually the two of you reached the wagon and met up with Levi, you saw that one of the MP had taken control of it, you were about to raise your gun and kill her until a group of them come around the corner.

"Scatter!" you yelled as the three of you shot off in different directions avoiding the gunfire, you put an anchor in the ground and propelled yourself downward then shot both of them into the rooftops of buildings and spun around shooting forward then slid under a cart scraping the gas tank on the ground'Shit they predicted our every damn movement!' you flipped over a crate as the MP continued to shoot at you. You met up with Levi and Abel in an alley, the MP continued to fire at you, the three of you dodged their shots and slid down a scaffolding and maneuvered through the alley, eventually you guys shot your anchors into a random building and shot forward breaking the doors to it landing inside. The three of you found yourselves on the counter of a bar "It's Levi and (F/N), the scouts!" someone uttered "Make yourself at home sir and madam!" the bar owner said, you looked at Levi and saw he got hit in his face 'Dammit at this rate we'll all be dead and lose both Eren and Historia' "It's the damndest thing I seem to be smellin a few rats in this fine establishment" a voice from outside said, the three of you quickly ducked behind the counter "Come on out little rodents THE SHERRIFF IS HERE AND I'M AIMIN TO EXTERMINATE ALL THE VERMIN I CAN FIND BANG! BANG!" the owner of the voice yelled while jumping in the bar making you put on a 'what the fuck' face "OH COME ON! YOU HERE OR NOT!?" the man asked then Levi responded "Right here Kenny been a while. I really thought you'd be dead by now what with all the MP you were butcherin now you're great friends huh?" the man infront of the counter then responded to him "Yeah well adults do plenty of things kids like you can't understand oh right my mistake, you're supposed to be an adult but you're still such a runt it's hard to tell heh always hoped that I might get to see you in action some day, I can't say I'm disappointed either seems you still remember every trick I taught ya. But didn't I ever tell you what happens to a cornered rat? Cause if I had you'd know that wherever you run you'll find a bullet waiting" after that the sound of guns cocking could be heard.
