The recruits immediately broke into a panic and started screaming "Erwin...please tell me you have a plan" suddenly a crashing sound came from the wall drawing your attention from the beast titan to the gate "Hey...is that....Eren?" Levi asked looking at the mangled titan on the wall making you sigh and face palm while you shook your head "Just another ordinary day for scouts..." "He must've gotten thrown...all the way to the top of the wall....by that thing" then more rocks slammed into the houses this time closer to where everyone was standing "It seems the beast has us in its sights, this place is about to be devestated" Levi sighed and clenched his hand together in a fist "Erwin...if you tell me there's no way left for us to fight back...I'll start preparing for defeat. Eren's sprawled out there right? go wake him up, you and some of the others get on him and run. That way we'll have at least a few survivors. The recruits and survivor's from Hanji's squad can scatter on horses all at once and try to head home and act as bait" You nodded in agreeming "With them acting as bait you and the others on Eren will be able to escape" "And what will you two do?" Erwin asked making you flip your hair "Simple, we deal with the beast titan. We'll lead him away" Erwin sighed and shook his head "No. You can't even get close to him" "You're most likely right, but" "If you and Eren make it back alive there's still hope" Levi said finishing for you "Isn't that the kind of situation we're in now? This is a major defeat. Honestly.....I'm not expecting anyone to make it hom alive at this point"

"True" Erwin started "That is, if we didn't have a way to fight back" "....Are you saying you have one?" "I do" Erwin said confusing you "Then....why? Why didn't you say anything before now?" more rocks slammed into the houses and Erwin ignored your question "If this plan works...the two of you will have an opening to kill the beast, but....only if we sacrifice the lives of the recruits here in addition to mine" you gasped as he continued on "You guys are right, no matter what we do most of us will die. In fact it's more likely that all of us will be completely annhilated so our only choice is to assume we are all expendable and work from there. We'd have to ask these young people to give up their lives, you'd need the skills of a first-rate con man to come up with a reason that convincing so I would any of them would charge forward unless I was leading the way, which would mean I'd be the very first to die" he then sadly lowered his head "Without ever learning...the secrets of the cellar" everything was silent until Levi broke it "Huh?" Erwin then walked over to a crate and sat on it "I want to know....what's in the basement...all my work, all my progress to make this day happen so I could check my answers...there's so many times I thought it would be easier just to die. But....the dream I shared with my father would flash through my head. Now...those answers are right around the corner, right there, but...all of our comrades are watching us. Can you see them? Because although their lives are gone, their fight isn't over" more rocks crashed into the wall as he continued his monologue "Is everything just some delusion?"

Levi crouched down to face the man who gave him a life "You fought well and bravely, you're the reason we're at this point but now I'm calling the shots. Take those recruits and send them right to their deaths and leave the beast titan....to us"

3rd pov short time skip~

"CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGEEEEE!!!!" Erwin yelled as he lead the recruits towards the beast titan 'This is unexpected. They planned a suicide charge to combat me? I thought they were smarter than that' Zeke thought as he pulled his arm back with stones in his hands "NOW FIRE!!" the scouts proceeded to shoot gren signal flares at the beast titan 'Smoke? Oh that's right, those things they use as signals' brushing everything off he readied himself to throw the pitch at the scouts "HERE THEY COME!! MOVE!!!" the barrage of stones was thrown and came speeding towards the regiment "MY SOLDIERS RAGE!!! MY SOLDIERS SCREAM!!! MY SOLDIERS....FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHTTT!!!" A stone barreled through the neck of Erwin's horse and struck him in his side, he gave the world he came to know one last look before tumbling over with his horse "THE COMMANDER!!" "DON'T TURN BACK! KEEP GOING!!" 'Pathetic' Zeke commented again as he readied another throw 'They didn't learn anything from their past failures. It truly is sad that king Reiss erased the memories of this world from their minds. They make the same mistakes over and over again because of that. In the end all of the people inside these stupid walls will send every last person off on a suicide charge from the elderly to the children. They'll try to justify it by saying that if they're going to die anyway they may as well die an honorable death or some stupid bullshit like that...unimaginitive fools...idiots!' he was drawn out of his thoughts when he subconsciously broke the rocks in his hands 'Haha oops...I smashed it on accident...Hehe silly me.
