"i'm done with girls." daniel said as he threw his phone on his bed. corbyn was over at his house and they were writing song lyrics. of all the boys, daniel only trusted corbyn with his song lyrics. daniel hoped one day he could sing his songs in front of millions but those were merely just dreams. the chances of that actually happening were extremely low.
"what happened now?" corbyn asked.
"maci's just...never mind." daniel shook his head, remembering he hadn't told corbyn about his feelings for maci. he hadn't told any of the boys, for that matter. he barely could handle the fact that he liked her and if all the boys knew for sure that he liked her, it would just be a lot worse.
"what did you little girlfriend do now?" corbyn asked.
"she's not my girlfriend." daniel said, then under his breath added, "and apparently never will be."
"it's only us, daniel, i heard that. it's not like we have jack in here talking all lovey dovey to gabbie and jonah in here not being able to shut his mouth for five seconds as he talks about the last date he went on. we don't even have zach in here who always makes as much sounds as he can." corbyn told daniel.
"fine. i really like her but apparently she doesn't feel the same way and it really fucking hurts to watch you go around with christina, jack go around with gabbie, jonah go on dates all the time, and zach have every girl drool over him. i feel like i'm the only one without a fucking love life and it's really getting to me. i finally found a girl i like and she basically just rejected me without even knowing how i feel." daniel ranted.
"we didn't know you felt that way." corbyn admitted.
"sorry, i'll just get over it." daniel shrugged. corbyn looked at him and saw that he was disappointed but he could see how much daniel wanted to drop the subject.
"so, for the second verse, i was thinking we could pick up the place a little." corbyn suggested.
"yeah, that would be good." daniel nodded, thankful corbyn had agreed to changing the subject.
"you should really perform this at the talent show." corbyn told daniel.
"maybe." daniel shrugged as they continued to work on lyrics.
