the whole school was crowded together in the auditorium, waiting for the talent show to start. it had only been about a week ago that the performance of grease had taken place here. now, several kids from school were showing their talents.

maci, ava, christina, natalia, and gabbie all sat together on a row in the bleachers. they watched act after act, waiting for the boys to perform.

the time was ticking down and the end of the school day was coming soon. a teacher walked up to the microphone to announce the final act.

"now, please welcome daniel seavey, jonah marais, jack avery, corbyn besson, and zach herron to the stage!" the teacher announced. the girls all smiled at each other as the boys walked out onstage.

daniel took the microphone and started talking.

"hi, i'm daniel seavey and today my friends and i are going to be performing a song i wrote. i hope the girl i wrote this song for knows it's for her." daniel said. the crowd started cheering as daniel picked up his guitar. ava, christina, natalia, and gabbie all turned to look at maci.

daniel started playing the song on his guitar. the guys all sang along to the melody. when it was daniel's turn to sing, he looked exactly at maci.

"you look so beautiful. you walked out of a dream. i've never felt this way before. your eyes are all i need to make forever feel like, just a little while. i swear i'd walk, i'd run, i'd even learn to fly, just to see you smile." daniel sang.

the guys started doing a cute little dance thing as daniel played his guitar. they continued to sing as well. every girl was freaking out, but no one was freaking out more than maci, gabbie, natalia, ava, and christina.

"oh my god, they can sing!" natalia laughed.

after the song was over, the guys all took a bow as everyone cheered super loud.

"you're awesome, seavester!" maci yelled at the tops of her lungs. daniel heard it and made eye contact with her, flashing her a smile.

the guys walked backstage and a teacher ended the assembly. by then, school was over and everyone was okay to go home. maci walked out of the school with christina since christina had given her a ride to school.

when maci and christina got outside, they saw daniel.

"hey, can i give you a ride home?" daniel asked maci, lightly pulling at maci's arm.

"go!" christina practically yelled, pushing maci and then walking away quickly.

"i guess that's that." maci laughed as her and daniel walked to daniel's car.
