"i dare you to kiss daniel." zach said.

"that isn't even a good dare cause they have to do that anyway for the play." jack rolled his eyes.

"no, it's a good dare." corbyn said, figuring that daniel would like this dare.

daniel was conflicted. on one hand he wanted to kiss maci. on the other hand, he didn't want her just to kiss him because it was a dare or for a play.

"make up your mind, heroin. is or is that not your dare?" maci asked.

"that's the dare." zach said. he had thought she would chicken out, but he was being proved wrong.

maci reached over and put her hand on the back of daniel's neck. she leaned in and gave him a kiss. daniel got red when she pulled back and raised an eyebrow at zach.

"easy." maci told zach.

"you are something else, girl." jonah laughed.

"truth or dare, jonah?" maci asked, smiling at jonah. daniel felt his heart sink a little. it was just like that, he was forgotten.

daniel got up and off the couch as the truth or dare game continued. he walked out the front door and took a breath of the fresh air. someone else walked outside as well. daniel turned around to see corbyn.

"she kissed you." corbyn said.

"yep, she did." daniel nodded.

"she's too..." corbyn trailed off as he tried to find the word, "different, daniel. i know your past crushes and they haven't been anything like her."

"yeah, i know." daniel nodded.

"what if you don't like her? what if you like the way she treats you when she's sandy and you're danny?" corbyn asked.

daniel considered this, it was quite possible. he needed to get his head out of the clouds, with maci it was never going to happen. he needed to move on.

"i just need to find another girl." daniel smiled.

"that's the spirit!" corbyn smiled too. daniel nodded, so that was exactly what he was going to do.
