Long before Thomas was able to manifest his sides; Morality, Logic, Creativity, and Anxiety, he only had one side to his personality. But he had not manifested this on his own. There was a girl, a bully. A bully with haunting (e/c) eyes, (h/c) hair, and (s/c) skin. Thomas had not yet discovered his ability, or been able to control it, so what happened due to the extent of this girl's bullying was an unexpected twist. Thomas had developed a deep, dark depression, and with that he had manifested an even deeper and darker persona. The original Sander side. Unlike the sides you know now, depression did not resemble Thomas in any way, shape, or form. Instead, she was a darker version of his tormentor. Flowing black hair and cold, dark, piercing (e/c) eyes. She dressed in all black and often wore a sheer cloak that made her look like a dancing shadow. Her voice was like silk, words like acid. She spoke soft melancholic whispers into his ear at night, holding him as he cried himself to sleep. But one day, sure enough, Thomas managed to break away from her long enough to manifest Logic and Morality to help lock her away.
*present day, Virgil's p.o.v*
I peeled back the loose wallpaper I had discovered in my closet before Thomas summoned me. I had no particular reason to do it, I just liked peeling things. Behind the wall paper there seemed to be a brick wall, nothing really seemed off about it until I saw a brick that was sunken in a bit, of course that would drive me crazy. Looking closer I noticed what looked like black paint on the brick. DS. What does that stand for? I touched the brick and it slid back a bit, so of I pushed on it. And the wall moved. Of course. Thomas's mind is almost too weird to handle. Nonetheless I walk into what looked like a dark hallway. I saw nothing on the walls until I reached the end of the corridor, there was a black door with chain locks and log locks on it. I tried turning the handle, locked. I look around to see if I could find something to pick it with. Behind me, on the opposite wall of the door, I found a key ring resting on a command hook. Taking it down I undid all the chains and logs before unlocking and opening the door. Inside the room was odd. Darker than my room. No lights except for a few black and red candles, some shaped like skulls or tombstones, some just normal. Okay, actually a lot of candles. The walls were blood red, ceiling and trim black, there was a bed with a black silk comforter with a person sized lump underneath. Cobwebs covered the corners of the bedframe and the ceiling. Curiosity got the best of me as I approached the bed. I yanked the covers up and what lied there was unbelievable. A girl. She groaned and stretched her arms.
"Come back for me Thomas?"
Chapter one was a bit short because I put it in with the prologue and because trying to do Virgil's point of view is hard and I don wanna. But I finally had the motivation to do something so yay me.
