Jace sighed in frustration as his third knife missed it's target. He had stopped eating, only drinking enough to survive. The Lightwoods and even Jocelyn feared for him. He dedicated all his time to training. He was wasting away.
I have to find Clary. He yelled inside his head. It's my fault she's gone! without her I have no purpose.
"Jace," Isabel said softly. "You have to come and eat."
"I'm not hungry Iz."
"Don't lie to me Jonathan Herondale! You're starved. We know you blame yourself for Clary's disappearance. But it not your fault. You didn't draw the rune that bound her to Sebastian."
"I'm not hungry!" Jace roared in frustration.
"If you don't eat then you will die. Then who will save Clary? If you mope around then it could be too late. She could be endarkened."
"Your right Iz, I'm so sorry."
"Well of course I am. We'll find her. If he wants her as badly as it seems then he may wait, hoping to gain her devotion naturally."
"Thank you Izzy. What would I do with out you?"
"That's it. You let your desperation control you. As I said to Jocelyn. Clary is only missing, not lost."
