18.Always

Zoya stroked Aditya's head till he fell asleep. She didn't move from there and nor did he wake him up. She stayed awake so that he could sleep peacefully. In her mind she thought "Aditya ne humare liye itna kuch kiya , hum kaise unke dard ko kam karein . Kaise samjhaye unhe ki Pooja ke maut ke zimmedaar voh nhi hai. Kaise unke andar se yeh dar bhagaaye ki voh akele nhi reh jaayenge, kaise unko sacche pyaar aur dosti mein yakeen dilaye ?" . As she was thinking all this , she looked at the clock and thought "Humein uth jana chaiye nhi toh der ho jaayega."

As she moved a bit , Aditya groaned and said in a sleepy and a childlike voice "5 minute baad mein uthna." With that he turned his head on her and grabbed her hand and held it close to his chest and slept. Zoya merely said "Lekin Adi..."
Aditya mumbled "5 minute bas.."
Zoya smiled at his innocent antics and stopped arguing.

After exactly 5 minutes Aditya's alarm blared and he woke up with a start. He looked around and saw he was on Zoya's lap with her hand wrapped around on his chest. Zoya had dozed off in those five minutes. Aditya got up from her lap and said gently "Zoya.."

Zoya woke up and said "Aap uth gye?"
Aditya said "Haan. I am sorry , subah mujhe hosh nhi tha ki main kya bol rha tha ya kar rha tha."
Zoya said "Are Aditya its okay. Aapko chain ki neend dena hi humara maksad tha."
Aditya then paused for a while and said "And kal tum poori raat nhi soyi hogi , voh bhi mere liye . Uske liye sorry and thank you."

Zoya said "Aap humare dost hai Aditya,itna toh aap ke liye kar hi sakte."
Aditya smiled warmly and touched her right cheek with his hand and said "Dost toh chod ke chale jaate hai kabhi na kabhi, but you are a very nice person Zoya and I am grateful I know you."
As Zoya felt his hand on her skin she felt a weird yet a beautiful tingling sensation in her body. She liked the feel of his soft hands on her skin. His hands were warm and full of love .

Aditya removed his hand and was about to go for a bath when Zoya said "Aditya ..kal raat..."
Aditya stopped in his tracks and said "Zoya main jaanta hoon tum meri sabse achi dost ho lekin kal raat ke baare mein aur  kabhi bhi  baat nhi karni mujhe. Main toh kabhi bhi tumhe batana nhi chahta tha. Lekin kal pata nhi hai kya ho gya mujhe aur maine itna kuch bol diya."
Zoya said "Aapko thoda better feel toh hua hoga fir. You must have felt a bit light."

Aditya said in his older grim tone "Nhi. Mujhe light nhi feel hua. Mujhe kuch feel hi nhi karna iss bare mein. Aur tum mujhe force nhi karogi. Iss baat ko yahin khatam karte hai nhi toh bohot jald yeh dosti khatam ho jaayegi."

He was about to enter the bathroom when Zoya said "Mri ko sach kab batayenge aap?"
Aditya closed his eyes at that and said nothing. He went in without another word. Zoya thought "Aditya aapse ek vada hai. Hum aapka saath kabhi nhi chodenge. Aapka jo yeh dar hai ki aap akele reh jaayenge aur saare rishte kabhi na kabhi toot jaate hai hum uss dar ko hata denge. Aap jo bhi karenge hum aapke saath honge. Aap ke andar ka jo voh purana wala Aditya hai , hum voh lekar aayenge bahar."

She went down and knocked Harsh's door and when she went in Harsh said "Kya hua Zoya tum yahan achanak?"
Zoya said "Kal raat Aditya ne humein Pooja ke baare mein bataya."
Harsh nodded grimly and then asked "Roya kya voh ?"
Zoya said "Haan bohot der tak. Phir voh so gye."
Harsh said "Itne dinon baad Adi finally roya. Pooja ke jaane ke baad , he sort of bottled up all his feelings. I am glad he is letting it out. 2 Saal ke baad voh finally roya hai."

Zoya said "Hum unko pehla vala Aditya banana chahte hai baba.  Aap humari madad karenge?"
Harsh said "Obviously Zoya beta. Main toh tab se koshish kar rha hoon."
Zoya said "Unko kya kya cheezein khush karti hai ?"

Harsh said "He likes surprises. He likes to be made felt special. He likes flowers on his bedside table. He likes if someone gets him his favourite food for him suddenly. He likes to gaze at constellations for hours and listen to various stories about them. He likes clicking photographs but hasn't touched a camera after Pooja left. He likes dinners in the moonlight and then chatting for hours. He loves music, he can listen to the radio for hours. He likes to talk a lot and wish someone would just listen to him. He knows he is the best at his work but he likes to be told once a year at least. He loves shopping and if someone buys him clothes for him . He was a true romantic at heart because pooja had made him that way. And she used to alwsys make sure he felt special and had all his wishes fulfilled. I hate to admit it but my wife and I never had time for him

He craved for attention and Pooja gave it to him. He is a child at heart and he likes that child to be pampered. After her death and listening to her husband's deeds he lost interest in everything and decided to believe everything is a waste of time and it was best if he was alone."

Zoya smiled sadly and said "Galat faislo ne aur bure wakt ne ek ache insaan ko badal diya. Aap fikar mat kijiye Baba. Aditya ke andar jo voh bachpana tha voh lautega. Aur voh kabhi akele nhi rahenge."
She was about to leave when Harsh said "Zoya..."
She turned and he said "Pyaar karti ho mere bete se?"
Zoya said "Baba , pyaar kya hota hai uska humein ilm tak nhi hai lekin haan hum unko khush dekhne ke liye kuch bhi kar sakte hai. Humari zindagi ko poori tarah se badaldi hai unhone. Aaj hum khud se pyaar karte hai , logon se darte nhi hai , apne kaam ko lekar itne confident hai toh sirf unki wajah se. Unhone humein ek nayi pehchaan di hai. Unhone humare ghaav bhare hai. Hum unke liye itna toh kar hi sakte hai."

Harsh nodeed and Zoya left for the kitchen.
She made Aditya's favourite lunch of Rajma Chawal and packed it in a box.
With a determined look on her face she said "Aditya Hooda , ab dekhiye hum kaise aapke zindagi mein alag alag rang bhar dete hai. Yeh Zoya Siddiquie ka wada hai.
