19.You And I

When Aditya reached his cabin , he was greeted with a hot tiffin sitting on his table. He thought "Yeh kiska hai aur mere table par kya kar rhi hai?"
He looked at the box and saw a small note attached to the box which read "Presenting you with Raj's mother. The joke may be bad but the food is good for sure. Hope you like it." It was signed by Zoya. Aditya smiled and opened the box and whiffed the beautiful smell of the spices the Rajma Chawal." He put the lid back on and with a very happy mood sat down for work and called his patients in. As he went for a round in the ICU he smiled at the nurses and was in such a pleasant mood the whole day that everyone was amazed. The nurses whispered to each other "Yeh inko kya hua hai ?"
"Yeh do saal pehle wale Dr.Hooda ke vibes kyun de rhe hai."
"Pata nhi. Shayad aaj khush honge."

At lunch when Aditya came to his room another small surprise awaited him there.
A vase filled with fresh white lillies greeted him. He went towards them and touched them gleefully. He murmured "Zoyaa....."
He sat down to eat and fell in love with the taste at the first bite and thought "Zoya sach mein mujhse better khana banati hai. This is one of the best Rajma chawal I have had in a long time. By the way I wonder where Zoya is. She joins me for lunch generally."
He took his phone and called her. Zoya picked up his call and said "Haan Aditya boliye.."
Aditya said "Tum khane nhi aaogi?"
Zoya said "Nhi humein kaafi sara kaam hai Aditya. Aapko toh pata hai na voh post graduation ke entrance exams aa rhe hai . Hum unhi ke liye tyaari kar rhe the."
Aditya said "Toh khana khana thodi chod dogi?"
Zoya said "Humein bhook nhi hai abhi Aditya. Aapse baad mein baat karte hai hum."
Aditya sighed and then thought "Khana kaise nhi khaogi tum? Bimar padh gyi toh ?"
He took the tiffin box and went in the room where the interns usually used to gather for work. Zoya was alone there as everyone had gone for their lunch. Zoya was bent neck deep in books. Aditya cleared his voice to make his presence felt. Zoya looked up and said "Are aap. Aapko humne bola tha na ki hum khana nhi chahte hai."
Aditya said "Are yeh bohot ache chef ne banaya hai. Tum ise taste kiye bina kaise reh sakti ho. Tum padti raho na main tumhe khilata hoon."
Zoya said "Lekin."
Aditya stopped her and said "Are chup raho na tum ab. Main vaise bhi tumhare opinions nhi jaan na chahta abhi. Mooh kholo bas. "
Zoya rolled her eyes and went back to her books while Aditya fed her one bite after the other. Then he took out his handkerchief and said "Idhar dekhogi."
Zoya groaned and said "Aap naa..."
Aditya didn't bother to reply and wiped her mouth with his handkerchief. Their eyes met and both their hearts did skip a beat but they didn't realise it. Aditya said "Ab tum padho. Raat ko saath mein niklenge. Aur suno.. main tumhare roz raat ko ghar mein 3 ghante baithoonga tumhe padhaane ke liye."
Zoya said "Are waah aap toh chalte phirte Aakash institute for PG nikle."
Aditya said "Tum itne kharab jokes kahan se le aati ho. Alag talent chaiye hota hai itne kharab jokes ke liye. Khair chodo, jo maine bola voh dhyaan mein rakhna."
Zoya nodded her head and before leaving Aditya said "Tumhare phoolon ki choice bohot achi hai."
Zoya grinned and Aditya left the room. At night they went home together chatting about how the day had been. Zoya turned on the radio and Aditya suddenly heard his name on the radio. The RJ said "Agla gana dedicated hai Dr.Zoya Siddiquie ke sabse azeez dost Dr.Aditya Hooda ko. Raffi sahab ki awaz mein Abhi Na Jaao Chod Kar."
Aditya turned at Zoya with a gleam in his eyes and said in a excited voice "Yeh toh mera favourite gana hai."
Zoya said "Humein pata hai. Aapne bataya tha."
Aditya said "Mujhe song dedications bohot ache lagte hai."
Zoya smiled and said "Humein aapko khush dekhna bohot acha lagta hai. I am glad aapko acha laga yeh."
Aditya blushed and then they reached home. Aditya and Zoya had dinner with Mri and Harsh. Mri spoke rapidly about the things that happened in her school and everyone listened to her with rapt attention. She then said "Mujhe na kuch naye kapde chaiye. Please laa do na Adi." Aditya said "Mri lekin...time..." Zoya said "Sunday chalenge shopping ke liye. Aditya aap toh jaldi choot jaate hai hospital se aur hum interns ke chutti hoti hai uss din. Humein bhi kuch kapde chaiye. Chalte hai na shopping pe. Aur humari princess ke liye bhi bohot ache dresses aur tops lekar aayenge." Mri clapped her hands with joy and then looked at Aditya. Aditya thought for a while and then said reluctantly as he didn't like shopping anymore "Theek hai. Chalte hai Sunday ko."
Aditya then went and tucked her into her bed while Zoya spoke to Harsh about her day and told him what all she had done. Harsh said "God bless you bete."
Zoya said "Acha ab hum chalte hai. Aditya ne bola voh humein padayenge PG ke entrance ke liye."
Harsh patted her on her head and Zoya went upstairs. Aditya was already waiting for her with the books. He then said "Dekho Zoya aaj hum physiology aur pharmacology ke MCQ's solve karenge. Uske baad jo tumhe nhi aate hai unko hum saath mein padenge. Theek hai."
Zoya nodded meekly like a student does with their teachers. So their studying session started. Aditya was a great and a very patient teacher and Zoya was a quick learner. After the end of three hours Aditya saw that Zoya had surpassed his level of expectations. He said "Aise hi agar hum roz kaam karenge toh tum aaram se entrance clear kar logi. Vaise tumhe PG karni kismein hai ?"
Zoya said "Internal Medicine."
Aditya said "I know that's tough but we will do it."
Zoya loved the way Aditya showed confidence in her. They bid each other goodnight and went to sleep.
The rest of the week passed in more or less the same way and soon it was Sunday.
Aditya called Zoya from the hospital "Main aadhe ghante mein ghar ke neeche aaonga.  Tyaar rehna."
Zoya got ready in a beautiful periwinkke blue coloured summer  knee length dress . Her ears were adorned with powder blue loops. She put up her hair in a long and sleek ponytail. She looked like the goddess of spring. As she heard Aditya honk. She went down and Aditya was again mesmerised to see her. As she sat in the car, Aditya said "Tum itne achi  ghar mein kyun nhi lagti?"
Zoya said "Matkab hum ghar mein kharab dikhte hai?"
Aditya said "Nhi lekin tumhare ghar ke kapde bohot bekaar hai. Aise kapde bhi toh pehen sakti ho."
Zoya said "Aap pagal hai kya ? Ghar mein aise kapde kaun pehenta hai? Itne mahenge kapde bahar pehen ne ke liye hote hai."
Aditya argued and said "Haan aisa toh constitution mein likha hai na. Tumne mujhe nhi dekha kya. Kitne ache kapde pehenta hoon main. Always proper and good clothes."
Zoya said "Aapke wardrobe ke baare mein toh aap na hi bole. Itne dull kapde humne kabhi nhi dekhe kisi ke almaari mein. Aapke kapdon ke choice itni kharab hai ki uss ke baare mein kuch na kahe toh hi acha hai."
Aditya said "Meri choice na bohot achi hai. Abhi jaa rahe hai na , tum dekhna kitne ache kapde select karta hoon main Mri aur tumhare liye. Tum mere liye karna. Phir dekhte hai kiski choice achi hai."
Zoya said "Voh karne ke liye humei  idhar se nikalna toh padega na . Tabse phaltu ke arguements kiye jaa rhe hai aap. Dhang se tareef bhi nhi kar sakte hai aap."
Aditya said "Haan chal rha hoon."
After a pause he said "Sach mein bohot achi lag rhi ho. Dresses suit you especially this colour. "
Zoya said "Pata hai humein."
Aditya said "Tumhe pata hai na tareef lena bhi ek kala hai which you clearly lack."
Zoya said "Gaadi chalana bhi ek kala which at the moment you dont seem to have."
Aditya made a face at her and she showed him her tongue. Their bickering continued as they reached the shopping complex.

Zoya asks Aditya to click her photographs and gifts him a professional camera which makes Aditya remember his passion for photography.
Zoya plans something special for Aditya but will things go as planned ?
