9.Not You Forever

That night Harsh came to Aditya and said "Adi, jo bhi tu kar rha hai ek baar soch le beta. Shaadi koi khel nhi hai. It's a bond that stays with you forever and you need to live with it too.'
Aditya said "Pa , ab mujhe aur na toh kuch sochna hai aur na samjhna hai. Mri ke liye yehi sahi hai aur main yehi karna chahta hoon."
Harsh sighed and said "Ab jab tune soch hi liya hai toh kal baat karne chalte hai and lets start with the pre marriage rituals."
Aditya said "Un sab mein aap time waste mat kijiye. Shaadi bhi court mein kar loonga."
Harsh said "Sab toh tumhare hisab se nhi ho sakta hai na. Us ladki ki bhi kuch khwaishein hongi. Unko tum aise kaise dakhalandaaz kar sakte ho?"
Aditya inhaled deeply and said "Theek hai. Lekin bas shaadi uske hisab se hogi bas.Baaki taur tarekein mein main vishwas nhi rakhta. Engagement ke liye yeh angoothi unke ghar pohoncha dijiye aur vahan se uski angoothi yahan le aaiye. Main pehen loonga aur phir parson shaadi kar lenge."
Harsh knew it was fruitless arguing with him and took the ring that Aditya handed him and went to have a chat with Waseem. He knew that Waseem would never argue with him because he couldn't care less about Zoya. Had Waseem not been his childhood friend and indebted to him for saving his life once , he would have never agreed to this marriage. Harsh knew the person Zoya was and found it unfair that she was meant to undergo this ordeal. Sighing he called Waseem and told him everything and as he had expected Waseem didn't mind anything at all.
The next evening Harsh sent a beautiful hamper along with an engagement card and Aditya's ring. Waseem asked Zoya to remove the ring that he had given to her when she was in the tenth grade. Zoya did so hesitantly as it was the only thing that her father had given her but she didn't argue. Her dad then told her curtly to wear the ring that had been sent. Zoya picked it up and wore it without a word. Before leaving the room Waseem turned and said "Parson shaadi hai aapki. Saari tyaari ho chuki hai. Make sure you don't destroy anything."
He didn't even bother to tell her the name of her to be husband nor show her his picture. She looked at the ring and thought "Yeh jo koi bhi hai , itna toh zahir hai ki voh bohot ajeeb hai. Aur jis tarah se unhone yeh sagai ki hai humse usse yeh bhi pata chalta hai ki voh bhi is rishte mein zabardasti bandh rhe hai. Lekin yeh angoothi kuch jaani pehchaani si bhi  lag rhi hai. Pata nhi hai aage kya hoga is rishte ka anjaam.:
There Aditya had bought Mri home and was watching her as she slept peacefully. He switched off the lights in her room and took the ring that his father had given him. He wore it and looked at it and thought "Jis rishte ki shuruwaat hi itni ajeeb hai , kaisa modh lega voh rishta. Aap jo koi bhi hai , main aapse maafi chahta hoon ki aapko iss shaadi ke rishte mein baandh rha hoon. Lekin majboor hoon main aur mere halaat bhi. Main aapse pyaar toh shayad kabhi nhi karoonga lekin aapki izzat zaroor karoonga kyunki aap meri sabse kimti cheez ka dhyaan rakhengi. Ummeed karta hoon ki aap bhi vohi karengi."
He had an odd feeling looking at the ring.  It was as if he had seen the ring before somewhere but couldn't remember where. He gave up thinking about it and went to sleep.
The next day passed in the preparations for his wedding. And soon the big day for Zoya and Aditya arrived. Aditya was getting ready when Mri came to him and said "Adi aaj kya hai ?"
Aditya saw her and said "Tum apne room se kyun aai yahan. You need rest. Mujhe bula liya hota."
Mri said "Main theek hoon. Lekin aaj hai kya ?"
Adi said "Shaadi hai meri ."
Mri had her eyes wide open and said "Aapki shaadi ? Achanak ? Aapko aapki soul mate kab mili?"
Aditya smiled at her words and remembered how Pooja used to tell him about soulmates and how she must have taught Mrinalini about the same too. But Pooja was wrong ,the concept of soulmates was a myth and this mistake had cost Pooja her life.
He said "Nhi mujhe apni soulmate nhi mili lekin mujhe shaadi karni thi. Jab aap so rhe the tab maine yeh decide kara tha isliye aapko bata nhi paya."
Mri said "Matlab ab meri mami aayegi. That's soooooooo good."
She did a small jig and hugged Adi and then asked Aditya the question that he dreaded the most "Ma, Papa bhi aayenge kya? Aapki shaadi hai , voh aayenge na?"
Aditya said "Voh....voh Kya hai n a , achanak se yeh plan hua na isliye main unhe invite nhi kar paya."
Mri looked at him intently and said "Aap kuch chipa toh nhi rhe hai na ?"
Aditya looked at her shiftily and said "Main,...nhi toh. Main kya chipaaonga."
Mri said "Nhi kuch nhi. Agar koi baat hai toh aap mujhe bata sakte ho. Main aapke liye yahin hoon."
With that she went to her room to ask someone to get her dressed up and Aditya thought "Till how long will I be able to keep the truth from her?"
He looked at himself in the mirror and straightened his turban and thought "On one hand there is this problem and on the other I am going to start a new life with an absolute stranger. When did life get so complicated."
Aditya reached the bride's home where the wedding rituals took place in the  Hindu tradition. Both Zoya and Aditya had their faces covered. After tying the mangalsutra around her neck and applying the pinch of vermilion on her forehead they were declared man and wife.
Zoya didn't shed a tear as she left her house and nor did her family bid her adieu. Aditya found all of this a bit odd but didn't say anything. Zoya was escorted to Aditya's house and she entered his house as his wife. She was shown the way to her new room which was Aditya's room. She was alone in the room and she took her red veil off her face and looked around the room. She liked the room instantly. She saw some photographs on the wall and went towards them and her eyes widened in shock and right then the door opened. She turned around and knew her worst nightmare had come true. Aditya stood right in front of her and he had his mouth open. He could just said "Tum yahan kya kar rhi ho?"
Zoya looked at him incredulously and said "Believe me , even I don't want to be here but circumstances seem to have others plan for us. We have married each other.".
Aditya said "Humari shaadi? Maine tumse shaadi ki hai? Yeh nhi ho sakta hai."
Zoya said "Humein bhi yeh soch kar koi khaas khushi nhi hui hai lekin yehi sach hai."
Aditya said "Aisa nhi ho sakta. Tumhari wajah se toh Mri ke saath bura hua hai baar baar aur tum uska khyaal rakhogi?"
Zoya narrowed her eyes and said "Humari wajah se Mri ki jaan bachi hai Aditya Hooda."
Aditya growled "Oh really? Agar tum use hospital na laati uss raat toh....."
Zoya cut him in between and said "Toh voh gaadi mein mar jaati. Aap kahan ke doctor hai? Ek bandh gaadi mein ek choti si bacchi ko kon chod ke jata hai akela? Mri ki jaan humari wajah se nhi aapki wajah se jaati agar jaati toh."
Aditya said "Gaadi ka exhaust on tha."
Zoya said "Aapke sapnon ki gaadi mein on hoga."
Aditya looked at her in disgust and said "Main tumhare saath nhi reh sakta. Mujhe koi chaiye tha jo Mri ka dhyaan rakhe , jo use sambhaale lekin tum toh khud ko nhi sambhaal sakti ho."
Zoya snorted and said "Khud ko sambhalne ki baat aap na hi kare toh acha hoga. Itne bade doctor hone ke baad bhi aap apne bhaavnaaon par toh kaabo kar sakte hai nhi."
Aditya grabbed her shoulders and pinned her to the wall and shook her and said "Jis baare mein kuch jaanti nhi ho, uss baare mein baat mat karo. Pehle bhi bola tha mere aur mere maamlo mein se door raho."
Zoya looked at his two hands entrapping her and pushed  it down with a strong jerk of  her arm. She said in a steely voice "Aapke maamlo mein na toh humein koi shock aur  na hi aap mein . Lekin hum kya kare, humari taqdeer aapke saath jud gyi hai humare na chahte hue bhi."
Aditya said "Yeh shaadi main kabhi nhi manoonga. Tumhare saath mujhe koi naya rishta nhi jodna."
Zoya said "Rishta toh jud chuka hai Aditya Hooda. Dekhna toh yeh hai ki aap iss rishte ko todte hai ya yeh rishta aapko. Aur bhooliye mat aapko humari zaroorat hai , humein aapki nhi."
Aditya said "Tumhari jaisi badkismati ki kisko zaroorat hogi? Tumhare toh abbu, ammi aur behen bhi khush the tumhe vida hote hue dekh."
Zoya said "Zaban sambhaal ke baat kijiye aap...."
That's when Mri entered the room and gasped and said "Zo, tum meri maami ho?"
She rushed towards her and hugged her. She then turned towards Aditya and said "Yeh perfect hai humare liye Adi. I love you and.."  She turned to face Zoya "I love you too . Welcome to the family Zo."
Aditya and Zoya looked at each other with hatred but kept quite for the sake of Mrinalini. Little did they know what the future had in store for them.
