She was gone from the picture only a month later and I thought I had my chance. But did I really have a change if I didn't have the guts to tell you?
Months went by but we kept talking every day. A year went by quickly and your birthday was just around the corner. You said you'd be home by then to celebrate together and that you had something really important to tell me.
"This is it," my friends told me to calm my nerves down. They were so sure of it and I hate them for screwing it into my head. I hate myself more for believing it.
January 3rd of 2019 was cold as expected but you never cared about that. You said it gave you an excuse to cuddle me even when I didn't want to.
I told you I could pick you up since I already had my own car and you quickly accepted. You were far too happy that I already had my license and car. You told me two of your friends would come along and naturally, I said yes because I had missed your bandmates.
Your plane had supposedly already landed so I waited with a coffee cup in hand and gazing hard at the door you would come through. In my boredom I watched other people come out the door and smiled at the kids playing around. I was growing sleepy but my body shot up when I heard your laugh.
I didn't care who looked, I ran to you and jumped into your arms. You dropped your bags and held me tight as well along with your adorable laugh.
"Mica! Te extrañé mucho!"
Eventually, we cleared the way and moved forward. I greeted the boys as well as the two girls who managed the group. The two girls tried to discreetly tell us to not stand to close but I couldn't help it. You, on the other hand, did as they said. I didn't get hurt by it because we were going to ride home together anyway. I didn't exactly see the problem since most of your fans knew who I was.
"Who else is coming with us?"
You bit your lips nervously and smiled. "Richard and Lilliana."
The pretty girl with golden hair smiled at me and I smiled back. "Cool! Let's go then!"
"Y nosotros?" Christopher questioned in a serious manner toward the blonde girl.
"Weren't you all going to go with Micaela? I thought you all would go out for Erick's birthday."
"Clara," Erick chimed in. "I don't know if they would all fit. Don't you always have a car for us?"
I said that you would all fit in since I was using my dad's minivan and not my own car. Clara looked relieved, telling the boys to put their luggage in the assigned car. Richard called shotgun and you seemed to not like that. It was your birthday, you should have sat there but you didn't try to fight it. In fact, you went to the back with Christopher and the other blonde girl, Lilliana. Was Clara also coming with us?
Richard told me about the tour, how he seemed to fall in love more with what he was doing. He was off though and I think he knew I caught on. His smiles didn't seem all too real nor did he seem to listen to the boys. I loved the boys because they all had qualities that I didn't have in my life. Richard, however, was different. The two of us were very much similar in the sense of our attitude and vibe. We loved the same type of music and had the same fashion. You, being the jealous friend you are, would avoid eye contact whenever I was talking to him. I never asked you why you would get jealous, but now I don't even know. Was that also part of my stupid ideas? You would probably say yes.
