Luke and Michael hadn't thought of the fact that Luke had to heal before they could further in their plan to escape. Luke was bedridden for three days. On the second day they got him up to move around a bit and he split a few stitches and bled all over the place, so of course they had to fix that.
In the three days that Luke was suppose to be bedridden they moved his hospital bed back to his and Michael's room.
Neither of the boys had seen their baby girl since she was taken out of the delivery room. Whenever an attendant came in Michael would ask about her.
On the third day Dr.Xander came in with his clipboard in hand. Michael was sitting on the edge of Luke's bed playing with the younger boys hair, talking about the baby.
"Evening boys." Dr.Xander nodded.
"Where's my baby?" Michael asked.
"The nursery." The doctor mumbled, clearing his throat. "Lucas, how are you feeling?"
"Gross." He scrunched his nose up. "And my nipples hurt."
The doctor chuckled, scribbling something down on his clipboard. "That's normal. But, today you should be ready to move and shower."
"Can we go to the nursery to see the baby?" Luke asked.
"You can. I don't want Michael growing attachments to it." Dr.Xander said, "He obviously gets easily attached to people." He motioned to how close Michael was sitting to Luke.
Michael frowned and Luke ran a thumb over his knuckles.
"Be careful with your stitches while bathing. Buzz the front when you're ready." He said before leaving the two boys.
Michael felt hurt. He just wanted to see the baby and hold her. Luke hadn't told him that the only reason he could see her and Michael couldn't was because they planned on clearing Luke's slate.
"Michael, stop worrying. Our plan's gonna work."

Luke's hand remained on his stitched stomach as he walked down the hall next to an attendant. He memorized every turn they took so he'd know where to go when the time comes.
They approached a wall with a large, glass window. When Luke peered in there was several little beds with babies in them. His eyes almost immediately landed on the little coyote hybrid.
"There she is." He whispered.
The attendant walked over to the door and used her keycard to click in and walked over to the little bed Luke and Michael's baby was in.
A few moments later Luke was cradling her in his arms and swaying slightly. "Hi, I'm your daddy." He smiled, brushing his nose against her's that he could already tell resembles his own.
He looked up and glanced over at the attendant who was busy changing one of the other babies diapers and pressed and soft kiss to the little girl's forehead. "I'm gonna get you out of here." He whispered.
