"Jack, that's the last piece of toast and I want it!" Luke whined, reaching around his older brother in attempt to grab the toast off the counter.

"Nope." Jack smirked. "It's mine."

He didn't even want the toast, he just wanted to annoy Luke.

"You're just being a dick let me have the toast!" Luke snapped, pushing Jack a bit.

Instinctively, Jack reached around his younger brother's neck to put him in a headlock. For years, in the Hemmings household the only way to settle arguments over food has been to wrestle. Probably the reason Luke looked like a bird until he was 17.

"Jack let me go!" Luke yelled, slapping whatever part of Jack he could reach.

"No, you pushed me!" Jack yelled back.

Luke's arms flailed around and he somehow managed to smack his brother in the back of the head, which only made the elder tighten his hold. Luke gasped and tried elbowing Jack, but only managed to his leg. "Let me go, asshole!"

"Not until you apol-"

There was a growl that cut Jack's sentence short and gathered the attention of both brothers. Their eyes darted to Michael standing at the kitchen entry way, his good ear was turned back and tail hung straight.

"Let him go."

Jack released Luke from his hold and took a step to the side with his hands up. "I let him go, he is free. Be free, Luke. You won. Have the toast. It's yours I insist."

Luke tilted his head and rubbed his neck as he approached the coyote boy. "Michael, calm down." He sighed, placing his hand on the boys arm.

Michael's features softened as he placed a hand on Luke's side. "Are you okay? The babies?"

The blond smiled and nodded. "We're fine. Jack wasn't hurting me."

"Oh, wow. I keep forgetting there's kids inside of you." Jack mumbled.

"Yeah, there is. So, you need to be more careful." Michael snapped, protectively pulling Luke closer.

"Okay, gosh. I put a pregnant person in head lock one time and I get crucified for it." Jack whined. "Kill me."

"I w-"

"Won't. You won't. There will not be any bloodshed in my house." Liz said, carrying in Willow. "Luke, Dr. Iero called to schedule your next appointment. It'll be next Wednesday at 10, don't be late."

"Okay."

"I swear. You're 19 and a parent but I still have to make your doctors appointments."

"Mother."

"What'll you do when I'm gone? This place will fall apart. You all better hope I'm immortal, I tell you that." She nodded, grabbing a sippy cup for Willow and heading back into the living room.

Luke's brows knit together as he looked towards his older brother. "What the hell was that about."

Jack shrugged, biting into an apple he plucked out of the fruit bowl. "Menopause?"

Didn't know how to end this chapter so how about some menopause humor bc my mom is gonna drive me insane w her mood swings ha-ha.
