Okay so it's not called a birth sack exsqueeze me

Luke and Michael sat basking in the silence for nearly two hours until there was an all call for lights out.

Michael was the first to move, walking over to the door and flipping the light off before crawling into bed. Luke pushed himself up and went to the bathroom. Michael heard the shower cut on and rolled over, deciding against waiting for Luke to get out.

Ten minutes passed and Michael was still awake. He heard the bathroom door open behind him and Luke lightly pad across the cold linoleum floor to the bed.

Luke slid in gently, assuming Michael was already asleep and trying to to wake him. He didn't feel tired. He didn't feel anything. He felt numb in a way. There was nothing he could do about what was happening. There was a baby growing inside of him. a baby that was going to be born part animal like its donor.

What does Dr.Xander even want with another coyote hybrid? what use can a baby be to him? He has Michael already. What use is Michael to him? It's like he's a hybrid hoarder and they're all his pets.

Another few minutes went by, both boys thinking the other was asleep. Michael was curled into himself like he sleeps every night. Part of his coyote nature was to burrow and sleep in small spaces, the only reason he and Luke could both fit in the small bed.

Michael could feel his eyes slowly drifting closed when he heard a quiet cry come from the boy behind him. He didn't know what to do, he didn't like Luke being upset but he was clueless on what he should do. Maybe Luke needed to cry, maybe he needed to just let it out.

So Michael decided against doing anything and curled even more in on himself. His right ear twitched at the quiet whimpers leaving Luke's body, trying to curl into an even tighter ball, sneezing when his tail brushed his nose.

"Michael?" Luke sniffled, rubbing the back of his hand against his nose. "Are you awake?"

Michael froze before stretching his body out and turning to face Luke's bare back. "Yeah." He mumbled.

"Did I wake you? I'm sorry."

"No, it-it's fine. A-Are you ok-ay?" His breath fanned across Luke's shoulder blades making the younger boy shiver.

"Not really." Luke whispered, feeling more tears rush to his eyes. "I-I miss my family and friends, I was kidnapped, I'm apparently with child and it's all just overwhelming."

Strangled sobs racked his body as warm, salty tears soaked his face. Michael's eyes widened. He can't just ignore it now that Luke knows he's awake. He thought back to all the movies he's seen and how the characters dealt with sadness.

Gently, Michael scooted closer to the blonde boy, closing the few inches between them. His arm shakily wrapped around Luke's waist as pressed his chest to the boys back.

Luke froze feeling the boy hug him from behind. "Michael w-what are you doing?"

Michael pressed the side of his face to Luke's shoulder blade and quietly said, "Hugging you. It-it's ss-suppose to help."

Luke sniffled, a small smile making it's way to his face. He reached a hand up and grabbed Michael's that rested on his chest. "Thank you." He whispered, giving it a gentle squeeze.

Michael had already fallen asleep against the boy, light snores leaving his slightly parted, plump lips. Luke didn't bother moving, this was the most comfort he's felt since he got to the facility.
