"Lucian?" I ask in disbelief.

"What happened my nickname?" He asked chuckling.

"I'm not gonna swear in front of a baby." I whispered and he rolled his eyes.

"You can put her in her crib she's asleep." He told me.

"I like holding her." I said shrugging my shoulder.

"So you're the new babysitter?" He asked.

"Yep." I say and put Violet in her crib. I walk past him and to the kitchen.

I proceed to wash the bottle and dry it. I can feel his gaze on my back. He was about to say something when I hear Violet begin to cry. I rush back to the room and pick her up.

"Shhhh it's okay." I tell her and rock her in my arms.

"How come your so good at that?" He asks.

"I don't know." I say honestly.

"Even mom can't do that." He said.

"I'm sure she can." I tell him.

"Trust me she can't it will cry all freaking night." He says.

"It? Her name is Violet." I say laughing quietly.

"Whatever." He says and walks out. I sit in the rocker and continue to rock her back to sleep. I look to my side and see a stack of books. I pick it up and begin to read it. I know she can't understand what I'm saying but it's soothing.

She soon falls asleep again and I hear the front door open and then close. I guess Lucian left.

I couldn't stand to be in the same house as that baby. She was the reason my family fell apart. I know it sounds mean but I don't really care. And seriously Athena is the new babysitter? Athena was beautiful on a whole other level. Her curly hair fell behind her shoulders and her green eyes were captivating. When I saw her talking to Jay I couldn't stand it.

Jay was in the rivalry gang. My family was part of the largest gang in New York and my dad was the leader. We were filthy rich and I was the heir to it all. I couldn't drag Athena into that no matter how I felt about it. However I knew Jay didn't care about her getting hurt. Anyways, I stormed out of the house because I couldn't stop thinking about those two girls, Athena and Violet. I headed to my friend Ryan's house to chill.

"Hey man why you look like that?" He asks.

"Nothing just the baby." I told him and he nodded.

"I mean we have a babysitter now, she goes to schools with us." I told him and instantly regretted it. He was gonna try and get to her.

"Who?" He asked. I couldn't lie.

"Athena. She's new." I told him.

"Yeah I saw her today, hot." He said. He wasn't wrong.

"The thing is she'll come on our family trips and stuff to take care of the baby." I tell him.

"At least she's easy to look at." He says.

The next morning mom told me to pick Athena up for school. What am I her chauffeur? Mom gave me her address and I realized something. I couldn't go to the east side it would break the truce.

"No one will notice." Mom said.

"Yeah no one will notice a black rang rover on that side of town." I said scoffing.

"Go now!" Mom told me.

Here goes nothing. I drive carefully trying not to draw too much attention to myself. I drive my car to the division line and got out of the car. I walked to her apartment. I knocked on the door and Athena opened the door.

"What the hell are you doing here?" She asked. She wore a blue sundress with a jean jacket.

"Good morning to you too." I said. She stood there with her hand on her hip.

"My mom told me to drive you to school." I told her.

"I'll walk." She said quickly about to shut the door in my face.

"I don't think so, I don't need my mom on my bad side and neither do you." I told her and I could see her contemplating.

"Let me get my bag." She said and shut the door.

She emerged with her backpack on her shoulder.

"Where's your shiny new car?" She asks.

"It's across the boarder." I told her.

"You're kidding, what you're afraid someone's gonna take it?" She said laughing. I wasn't going to tell her the truth. If people knew I crossed the line I would be dead.

"Nope." I tell her and walk her to the my car.

She hesitates but gets in. I speed into the street and head to school. I turn on the radio and Blink 182 comes on. I turn it up and she looks at me weird.

"What princess?" I ask annoyed.

"Nothing asshole." She replied.

"Hey I thought we were done with that nickname." I said pouting.

"Give me another nick name that is fitting then." She says. Let me think.

"How about the hottest guy in the world?" I suggested and she bursts out laughing.

"I like mine better." She says smirking.

"We're here." I tell her as I roll my eyes. She bolts out of the car and into the school.

I head to my locker where all my friend stand.

"How come I had to drive myself to school today?" Alex asked.

"I had to take Athena." I tell them.

"Ohhhhhh." They all say in unison. I didn't want to talk about her but I knew they would.

"Is it just me or does Athena sound like a female?" Alex says laughing.

"You doing it?" Mason asked.

"I mean she's hot." Harry said.

"It's not like that, she's my sisters babysitter." I tell them and slam my locker shut. We walk to the first class of the day which is art and who is sitting there painting? That's right Athena.

She sits there chatting with Jay painting flowers.

"Yeah you should come over tonight and help me with French." He says. Athena giggles and it makes me want to punch Jay right in the face.

"I don't know I think I'm busy, babysitting." She explains to him. I can tell she's not really interested and honestly that makes me the happiest guy alive.
