Lucian's p.o.v
"Where are you?" I asked her frantically she was in pain and the only person I could think to put her in pain was Jay.
"21 Harmon street."she managed to tell me.
"Be there in 10." I tell her as I grabbed Violet and put her into her car seat.
"Please be okay please be okay." I repeated.
"Because I don't want to have to babysit forever." I told myself. Yeah that's why I want her to be okay. Okay I guess she's kind of my friend not really though because she hates me but my family needs her.
I drive through the crowded streets until I found Harmon street. I saw that there was a park right across from the street and so I parked. I searched for Athena until I saw a shriveled up body on a wet park bench.
"What the hell happened?" I asked as I approached her but I stopped walking, there was blood all over, dripping from the bench.
"Can you take me home?" She asked. She sounded weak. She was insane if she thought I would just drop her off at her house. One she's hurt and two I can't go into that neighborhood.
I wondered if she called anyone else, if I was her last resort and for some reason it stung to think that. However, she doesn't really know anyone around here and I know damn well she didn't call Jay.
"I'm taking you to the hospital." I insisted as she tried to get up but fell into me. She was worse off than I thought.
"Come on lets get you to the car, I have Violet waiting in the car." I tell her.
"Please just take me home." She pleads but I'm not taking that risk. She's weak and has obviously lost a lot of blood.
I didn't say anything as I carried her to the car. We sat in silence but I needed to know what happened.
"Are you going to tell me what happened?" I asked and she let out a long breathe and her face immediately twisted in pain. Normally I would be mad that she was bleeding all over my nice car but I wasn't about to give her a hard time about it.
"I had a fight with my mom and so I ran away and then I fell off the roof and this lady made me come into her apartment and there I met her son who is friends with Jay and apparently Jay and his gang know stuff they should know and so I had a panic attack and came here and I guess fell unconscious because of blood loss." She rambles and immediately looks exhausted just but talking. I had so many questions but for now she needed medical attention.
"There are so many questions I'll ask later but for now you need stitches." I tell her.
"Stitchessss are you serious?" She whines and I rolled my eyes.
"Let me get a wheel chair." I tell her as I park the car. I help her out of the car and into the chair. Her eyes began to slightly close but then she suddenly shook her head to wake herself up.
"You can't stay out of trouble can you?" I mumbled to myself.
I decided to tell the lady at the desk what happened because Athena seemed too weak to talk .
"She needs to be seen right right away." I snapped at the lady. She saw the tattoo on my neck and nodded quickly.
A different woman came and took Athena's vitals, I could see the shock on her face.
"You have a fever, you must be getting an infection." She said panicking. This can't be good, at all. I noticed that Violet had woken up and I prayed to God she wouldn't start crying, that's the last thing I needed right now.
"Is this her baby?" The woman asked.
"No it's my little sister." I told her and she nodded and pressed a button on her walky talky.
"Ok honey don't close your eyes I need you try your best to stay awake." She told Athena sweetly but Athena's eyes began to close. A stretcher came out and a man lifted Athena onto it. I stood above her and watched as they shined a bright light into her eyes and examined her.
I saw that her necklace was getting tangled in her damp hair. And for some reason I felt the need to fix it. She seemed to love the necklace, her hands always found a way to the small pendant.
"Don't touch her she's infected with something." The woman took my hands off of her. Before I could yell at her they rushed her into a room. The necklace fell onto the ground as they rushed her to a room. I bent to pick it up and tried to run to the room. I tried to follow but the woman stopped me.
"You're going to have to wait here." She told me.
"But-I'm her boyfriend." I lied, I had to make sure she was going to be okay.
"You have to be family I'm sorry." She told me and I kicked the chair.
I held the turquoise stone necklace in my hands and thought of how they matched Athena's eyes. It looked so familiar but I pushed that thought to the back of my mind . I hope she's going to be okay. My mom needs her, my family needs her.
I plopped down into the uncomfortable waiting room chairs and saw a woman staring at me in fear. I flipped her off and slumped in my chair.
