Giggling.
That stupid, incessant, fucking giggling.
Jimin was standing in a corner, burning with silent rage. His eyes smoldered a dangerous red, unaware that he’d latched onto some courtiers ability and was using it to silently fume.
A weak ability, simply making his skin burn hot to the touch, although he could not feel it, but the heat that radiated off of him was enough to make others back the hell away.
Why?
Because a neighboring kingdom had come to visit for diplomacy and they’d decided to bring along their daughter.
Who completely ignored the fact that Namjoon was married.
And that his husband was still present, watching the woman throw herself at the king. Namjoon was being polite and trying to ease her off of him and go bother someone else, but she insisted.
Jimin was inching closer, still in the shadows, but everyone knew that he was there, and no one dared say a word, afraid of what the queen would do in retaliation.
“...can’t give you heirs.” Was the first thing Jimin could hear. “He’s male, and I heard he was a dirty slut, too, fucking anybody and everybody he could while he pretended to be a woman like some said bitch. I’m so much better, I can give you heirs. And…” Jimin's eyes widened as she leaned in, pushing her chest against Namjoon’s. “Untouched.”
“Fucking bitch.” Jimin seethed, about to step forward when a hand grasped his shoulder. Taehyung snatched his hand away quickly at how hot the male’s skin was.
“Best to just stand back for this one.” Taehyung whispered.
“She’s fucking—“
“I know. Everybody can see what she’s doing.” Taehyung leaned against the wall, turning his gaze to the pair. “I’m glad that you are mad at her, and not Namjoon Hyung. Thank you for trusting him.”
“I have half a mind to go and drag him away and whoop his ass for putting up with her for so long.”
“Namjoon Hyung knows the limits. Once she starts getting too pushy, he’ll draw the line.”
“And where’s the fucking limit? After she crawls into his bed and lets him fuck her?”
“Jimin.” Taehyung hissed. His eyes flashed purple and Jimin calmed down immensely, taking a deep breath.
“Sorry.” The queen whispered. “Thank you.”
Taehyung nodded. “I know we’ve all been on edge lately with Im and everything, but please try not to lash out.” Jimin nodded and let his eyes wander over to the scene once again.
“My parents can offer a treaty. Resources and men. Expand the kingdom and merge them if you were to marry me?”
“Princess, I appreciate the offer, but I am already—“
“Nothing I can't handle. It’ll be quick and easy and he’ll be gone and then—“
“Princess Song.” Namjoon clipped out, his gaze hardening. “You did not just suggest to me that you would murder my queen to my face.”
The princess paused, clearly having read the situation wrong when she uttered such words. She looked around, at the whole court, which had fallen silent to watch the drama unfold.
“O-of course not—“
“Instead of throwing yourself at me, like a pathetic little girl and insult my queen, I would suggest that you gain some class and grace before. I am a married man, and I love my queen very much, so your offer will have to be declined.”
Jimin's eyes widened and he stopped breathing.
“N-Namjoon—“
“It’s your majesty.” Namjoon ground out. “I do not recall ever giving you permission to address me in such a comfortable manner. Please leave, you are excused.”
The princess looked around, but only found sneers and judgemental looks. She rushed out, covering her mouth to hide her sobs.
Namjoon turned to find Jimin standing in a corner and walked over to him quickly, leaning down and kissing his head. “I’m sorry, dove.”
“Y-you...you love me?” Jimin whispered.
Namjoon paused. “Bad way to pronounce it, huh?” He said teasingly. Jimin gasped and whacked his arm, a deep blush forming on his cheeks.
“H-hey…”
“I’m sorry, dove.” Namjoon leaned down and this time, claimed the queen’s lips. “Yes, I do love you, Jimin. I did not mean to pronounce it to the whole court before telling you in private, but—“ Jimin cut him off with another kiss.
“Come on.” Jimin said quietly, pulling the king towards one of the many exits in the courtroom.
“Where are we going, dove?”
“My king.” Jimin said playfully, suddenly feeling brave and adventurous. “Your queen seems to doubt your love and may need a little more convincing.” Namjoon froze, Jimin helping as his arm tugged to an abrupt stop.
“Jimin—“
“Don’t make it embarrassing!” Jimin screeched. “Come on before I break down and die of embarrassment!” Namjoon chuckled and allowed the queen to pull him along to their bedroom.
“But are you sure—“
“I’m ready.” Jimin admitted. “I just…” They slowed down once they reached the doors to the rooms. “I was just a bit scared...but I believe you, that you love me and I...I love you too, Joonie.” Namjoon smiled and stole yet another kiss from his husband.
“Come on dove, let your king prove his love.”
“Gently.” Jimin squeaked out, as it was Namjoon who pulled him along this time.
“As gentle as you want.”
