"Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to Leonarda Da Vinci Airport. On behalf of the entire crew, I would like to thank you all for flying with us. We hope you have a fantastic time in Rome, Italy."

I woke up, trying to remember why I was in a plane with Daisy tapping me.

"We're in Rome, girl. The home of all our dreams." She laughed as we walked out the plane and into the city.

"Bion giorno, Amelia." I heard Vanessa say.

I figured it was Italian, but I didn't know what it meant.

"That means Good morning, Amelia." Daisy offered. I just nodded and sighed, learning to speak and understand Italian wasn't going to be easy.

"Do you both speak Italian?" I asked. They seemed very confident in speaking and understanding the language.

"Only a little, I learnt the basic sentences a year ago in school." Daisy answered while Vanessa simply said, "I speak and understand Italian very well."

"Come on girls, let's go to your apartments. Everyone else is waiting." Vanessa said as we got into the car waiting for us.

The blue-coloured Range Rover drove us to a three story apartment building that looked very... ordinary.

"This is where you all will be staying." Vanessa chirped as we all got out of the car. "Come on girls, hurry up."

We walked into the building and headed straight for an elevator. Inside the building looked nicer than the others. It looked like a dormitory, however.

We got off at the next floor, where we saw Mrs. Martins and the other interns. We quickly sat down, but not before she noticed us. She smiled a bit and continued talking.

"As I was saying, this building will be a hostel of sorts for you all. Each room will be for two students and you could be paired with either sex, this will promote co-operation." I really hoped Daisy would be my roommate.

"The fashion college is a five minute walk from here. Your feeding, clothing and other expenses are on you. Your fees are already 30% paid for, so you should know how much your fees will be. Every other information is on the pamphlet that's being passed out." As she said this, I looked to my side and I could see some ladies sharing them out to us, the new students. Gosh, I was so excited.

Soon, she started talking about our class schedules, rules and other stuff. I just wanted to see the room allocations, have a nice bath and go out to see the city.

"Vanessa, when can we go and see the city?" I asked. She sighed and looked between Daisy and I as we wore expectant expressions.

"We can go later today. First, you have to see your room, eat and then freshen up. For the first two weeks, there is free food for everyone." She laughed, pointing at the food packs a lady was bringing to us.

"Nice. I could get used to this, free food and optional classes to pick from." Daisy excitedly replied.

"There's also a pool and a gym in the building. Membership free, I'm in love." She continued, twirling round and making the pamphlet she was holding move with the wind.

I was thrilled, excited, ecstatic...until I saw the room pairings. Daisy wasn't going to be my roommate, her roommate was a girl I couldn't even remember seeing once. Mine was someone I wanted nothing to do with.

Reluctantly, I dragged my bag towards my room, Room 23 out of the 50 rooms. Fortunately, Daisy room was two doors after mine. Roxette's 'It must have been love' played softly from my room, my roommate had already settled then.

Still unsure about my current condition, I knocked on the door. The music stopped and the foot opened to reveal a familiar brunette boy with green eyes and a tattoo on his neck, Leo Dunlop. Kathy's cousin.

"Amelia, long time no see. Where have you been all these years?" He smirked, pulling me in for a hug.

"Far away from you." I sneered, pulling away. Why did the Lord have to do this? I walked past him and entered into the room, which was actually nice looking.

From what I saw, Leo was almost done unpacking while my space was still bare apart from the bed itself. The two beds were at the ends of the room, while another door opened into the kitchen, toilet and bathroom. Each had been separated by a wall and a door.

The pamphlet had said that we could design our rooms however we wanted. After our graduation, the whole school would be repainted. Leo liked green, so that was the colour if the wallpaper he put in his side of the wall. Mine was going to be red, I loved it.

Leo laughed, "Are you going to stare all day or will you start unpacking? Don't you want to see the city, bella?" I sighed inwardly. If there was one good thing about this arrangement, It was that Leo could speak and understand Italian fluently. After all, he was half-italian.

*********

"Daisy, hurry up. We're going to miss the whole tour."

"Sorry, I had to take my phone along. Can't miss out on pictures today."

I shook my head incredulously, "Why wouldn't you take your phone? That's an essential tool."

Daisy shook her head and replied, "Not for me." as we walked faster to join the other 48 students, Mrs. Martins and Vanessa.

By the time the tour was over, we were all exhausted. We had seen the Pantheon, the Colosseum, St. Peter's Basilica, and even Trevi fountain. At each one, everyone snapped a picture. Apparently, we cared about the pictures more than the histories.

Dinner was given to us, and I tiredly walked to my room where Backstreet Boys was playing. I couldn't even remember the particular song anymore.

"Mi Amore, you look extremely tired." Leo said as he walked over to my partially arranged space.

"Yes, I am." I nodded. He looked at me, and just for a second the look in his eyes made me remember that night four years ago.
