Unlike the days before, the sky today was particularly clear showing its brilliant hues of blue and white. The weather in Rome could be quite breezy at this time, but all I saw was the scorching rays of the sun as it shone on the last of the students being tested before being permitted entry to enter the school bus.
Soon, the bus began moving to its destination: The camp for Fashionistas(so we were told). The environment quickly moved from suburban city life to all round vegetation, from houses and commercial buildings to blurs of green in all shades.
I felt a nudge on my shoulder, and I removed my earpiece to face Daisy. "What do you think about this scenery?"
I hummed in response and watched the road for a while before turning to her. "It's very green, for starters but I like nature so it's no problem."
She nodded before turning to face Leo and Camille, who had decided to stick with us this time. I plugged my earpiece back in and continued to listen to the few ever changing words of Italian I had religiously been following.
The familiar feminine voice resounded in my ears.

"Lia. Wake up, we're here." Daisy whispered into my ears as I felt my shoulders being shook.
"I'm awake, I'm awake." I responded, fighting the urge to stretch and yawn. "How long was I asleep?" I asked, wiping any existing drool from the corners of my mouth.
"For about an hour, the drive wasn't that long." She snickered, as she smoothed down my hair. "I thought you like nature."
"Well, I do. A bit." I answered, before turning to look at the place the bus had stopped at.
A two storey building faced the road, along with massive iron gates which were opened the minute the lanky driver behind the wheel pushed his horn. What seemed small from the outside view was actually a large expanse of land behind the building, from what I could see as we were driven in.
The bus manoeuvred its way into the designated parking spot, and the doors were opened for us to get out. The driver and his bus were gone immediately the last of us stepped out.
"This building is quite massive." Leo pointed out, and I totally agreed with him. As we dragged our belongings to the massive oak doors at the front, I admired the wood like structures and the simple inscription it held at the very top: Camp Elois. I held the name in thought, determined to check what Elois meant.
We all entered the foyer, which was grander than any I had seen. The hall was adorned with stones of all colours, sizes and shines arranged in a thought out way. The word Fashionista was also written with amethyst and silver, at the entrance to the main area. Chandeliers hung all the way from the entrance, through to the living room all in a zig zag manner. Light streamed in from the transparent ceiling, which made the whole design shine more.
"Whoa. This is amazing." Helene said as she nudged her roommate, a familiar raven haired girl. I looked at her for a bit, but still couldn't place her name so I silently agreed with her and faced forward as we shuffled to the living room.
More chandeliers hung from the ceilings, which were covered in this case. As such, the lights came from within the chandeliers along with the bulbs built into the walls. This space was big enough for one hundred, no ninety-nine of us as it had more than ten long couches arranged around the long mahogany the and cinema sized TV.
"Welcome, first years." The principal's voice said from all around us. Startled, I looked around before noticing speakers attached to the corners of the polished white wall.
She continued once we faced one of the two speakers. Could she see us? "I hope you all wrote your first exams well, I trust you did. Now, every batch of first year students come to this camp to showcase all they have learnt, and have a bit of fun. For the one week you'll be here, you will be assigned tasks everyday which you must follow and complete as best as you can. These tasks will be graded and added to your first semester scores, so do your best."
"What about fun?" A girl asked quizzically.
"There will be fun, Chloe. After this, you'll be given a tour to see all we have here as well as the noneducational activities to do. Now students, behave cordially and responsibly and you'll be fine." She answered.
We mumbled words of agreement, and watched as two men came to direct us to the rooms available.
"There are twenty rooms here, so each of you will be five to a room." There were shouts of protest before they could continue, and they chuckled like they were used to the reactions.
"It's made to model a camp, everything can't be glittery. Besides, you'll see there's enough space for five." One of the men answered, just as we reached a slightly ajar door with number one written on it.
He pushed it open. "This is the first room, for the guys." Somehow, all of us shuffled into the room and gasps of Ooh's and Aah's filled the air. The room was massive, with white walls, wall lights and chandeliers from the white POP ceilings. The beds were arranged in bed bunk style with one bed separate. Each had one drawer, even the top bunks and a combined luggage space. We entered the bathroom in turns, and it was also spacious with two overhead showers and a distinguishable toilet. All very modern.
The second man started talking again once we had explored the room. "From your looks, I can see you all like it. So we'll be assigning you to your rooms now."
The first man took over and started roll-calling. At the end of it all, I was with Daisy, Camille, Helene and Eleanor in Room Ten. I turned to see who that was, and it turned out to be the raven haired who had been beside Helene all day. It wasn't going to be bad. Leo was with some other guys in Room Fifteen far but at least he wasn't in the last room, Twenty.
"It's good he's with other guys anyway. He's already used to us." Daisy started, as we watched Leo leave with his roommates.
"Yeah, I guess. I was almost hoping we would all be in the same room." I admitted.
"Why? You wanted him in your bed?" Camille asked, with a raised brow.
I laughed at her mock seriousness, and shook my head before dragging my box towards our room.
"Excuse me." Lily quipped as she stepped past me roughly, causing my grip on the box to loosen.
"Your manners need to be excused." I scoffed, as I picked up the box by its handle.
"Is she still being rude to you?" Camille asked, as we continued on the pathway.
"Will she ever stop? Mrs. Martins isn't even here so I don't understand her problem." I replied.
"Just avoid her, she'll eventually have some sense."
"I doubt she will." I murmured, pushing our door open to find Helene and Eleanor already there.
"Hey, temporary roomies. Welcome to Room Twenty." Helene beamed. Once again, this was going to be nice.
