"I can't believe I came straight to class." Daisy whined, doodling in her notebook as one of the Marketing lecturers droned on about Business strategies.
"It's no one's fault you decided to sip wine and act like a tourist for three extra days." I mocked lightly as I tried to pay attention.
But Daisy wasn't having it. "It is someone's fault. The fault of the school for releasing my wonderful results, your fault for showing me, and my parents' fault for wanting me to celebrate properly."
"Yes, and your fault for not telling them you had to resume. Didn't you know lectures had..."
"Will the both of you stand up?" The lecturer suddenly said and when I turned to look at him, he was glaring at us. Trouble.
"I think the class would like to know what the both of you were discussing, that you were so engrossed in." He continued, when we stood up.
I looked around the big hall we used as a class, and ninety pairs of eyes were directed towards us. My cheeks felt hot, yet I had goosebumps on my arms. I felt like sliding away into the earth's core, while Daisy looked quite put together and even bored. I felt a bit of disdain towards her, this was her fault.
Daisy refused to answer, which left me no choice since the thickly bearded man looked like he would send us out, or worse.
"We weren't discussing anything important, sir." I replied, trying hard not to stutter.
"I should send you both out of my class, but I'll let this be a warning. Talking distracts me from teaching, and how do you want the knowledge instilled in you if you aren't even listening?" He asked, shaking his head in disapproval.
"Sorry sir, it won't happen again." I assured meekly. The lecturer just nodded, and motioned us to sit down eager to get back to his lecture. Just as I was eager to ignore Daisy who had resumed talking.

"That's what happened thanks to her." I added, carrying one of Daisy's numerous belongings to her room.
"Leo, it wasn't like that. The man just said something about being distracted besides he was being boring." Daisy tried to explain, huffing in between as she lifted the biggest bag up the stairs.
"Not like you were even listening."
"I just wish I was there to see you both, your expressions would have been priceless. Daisy being all bored and Lia being all scared. Classic." Leo laughed, walking forward with two boxes.
