My first class, Drawing Fashion was an interesting class. We were going to be taught how to create designs from what we see in the environment, what we notice and even what we perceive.

The other classes were Dress making, Italy and its ethics, Marketing and Finesse. Italy and its ethics was shared with Leo as well as Marketing. That left me sharing the rest with Daisy, and that I was grateful for.

I was about to walk out the door when my obnoxious roommate stopped me, "Aren't you going to wait for me? We're going the same way, you know."

I arched a brow, "And I'll be late if I wait for you." I replied, heading out the door.

"Not if you're going with your own car." He laughed.

"Do you own a car?" I asked surprisingly to which he nodded.

"How did you get one? We arrived just three days ago. There's no way..."

"Relax, Mi Amore. You seem to forget I often live here."

I mentally facepalmed myself, how didn't I remember. He used to live in Canada, coming to Italy sometimes to visit his mom.

"Fine, but my friend Daisy is coming as well."

"The more, the merrier." He smirked as he arranged his bag.

"Let's go already." I said, beginning to feel a little bit irritated.

The Fashion college was the first and only building I noticed as Leo made a right turn five blocks away from the hostel.

The college had a statue of a woman wearing an expensively designed red dress at the front. Going further inside were three one story buildings with carvings and drawings on each one.

The pamphlet already explained what the three buildings were for. The first building was painted with a bright blue colour and 'Students' written in red was at the top of the building. This building was for the classes we would have.

The second building had 'Staffs' written on it, and it was where all our lecturers would be. The third and final building was special, it was where the best of us would work for a year after graduation. This building was separated from the rest and it was way bigger. It was painted with white and 'Fashionista' was boldly written in red paint.

By the time I, Daisy and Leo stepped out from his car we were already two minutes late.

"Late on your first day in school, not the way to go." Leo smirked, wagging his finger at me.

I simply stuck out my tongue at him, "You're late too."

"I don't care."

I simply huffed and hurried to my first class along with Daisy.

The first weeks passed like a continuously skipped movie. Soon, we were through with the first month of school. Lectures were getting tougher, my roommate was getting more annoying and Daisy was becoming a sister. I saw more of Lily, and I was frustrated at that.

"Watch it, clumsy oaf." Someone said as I bumped into them and my books fell.

I picked my books, and was about to apologize until I saw the person I bumped into. Ugh, my day couldn't get any worse.

"Oh, I should have known it would be you, Sanders. Ha, even walking now seems difficult for you." Lily said as she walked past, with another girl I remembered seeing from the exam.

I was about to reply something worse when Leo tapped me from behind, "We've got to get to class, Melia."

I squared my shoulders and nodded, Lily wasn't going to bring out the ugly side in me.

By the time we got to class, the lecture had already begun. Huffing, I apologized to the blond-haired stout lecturer with freckles and plopped down on my seat.

She just nodded and continued with the lecture which was on Italian phrases. I cringed, I wasn't too good at this.

"Amelia, right?" The lecturer said gesturing to me, to which I nodded. "What's the meaning of 'Ancora Imparo'?"

I stood up, trying to remember what it meant. I looked at Leo, who tried gesturing but I slightly shook my head and turned away.

Mrs. Gonzalez spoke up after a few minutes, "You should try to study Italian phrases, Amelia. You're going to need it a lot here. 'Ancora Imparo' means 'I'm still learning'." I nodded and sat down, as I heard some snickers behind me.

She went on, "I have the perfect project for you all. You're going to look for accommodation as well as a job for two months months by yourselves. Many people here don't speak English, so you all are going to have to converse in Italian. You'll do it in two parts, the first one for two weeks and the second parts for one month."

I smiled, this was what I wanted. To go into the real Italian world. It wasn't going to be so hard, Leo would be with me.

"Class, this project is to help in the development of your multilingual skills. To become a designer here, you have to be immersed in the Italian world and know how it all works. This is an individual project which will be starting next week.
Ohh, there goes your bell. You can go and start preparing for your projects. The details will be sent to your emails." Mrs. Gonzales said as she shooed us out of her class for recess period.

My classmates didn't look happy at all. Some looked at me like I was to blame for the class project, but I didn't care. I was looking forward to it.

"Roomie." Leo whispered as he walked beside me.

Sighing, I replied "You don't want someone else hearing you say that like a girl."

"Exactly why I always whisper it. Anyway, how do you see the project?" He asked, smirking at me.

"I love it. It's is what I want, to experience the real Italian world on my own and not just from the four walls of this school. I know it won't be easy, but I'll scale through." I answered.

"Nice. It won't be hard for me though, I already know Italian enough." He replied, as his
stomach rumbled.

"Let's go eat, before your intestines spill out." I said, as we reached the cafeteria.

"Gross, but true."

"Do you know you talk like a girl? Maybe you're gay." I snorted, trying to taunt him.

He just looked straight ahead and replied, "Believe me, I'm straight."
