They walked in the backdoor and Shawn went over to the fridge. "You want me to just heat up some leftovers for dinner?"

"That's fine," Juice agreed. "Need help?"

"Nope. You can go sit if you want. I'll bring you a plate."

"Thanks," Juice said and went into the living room.

Once the food was ready, Shawn balanced one plate in the crook of her arm while holding the other in her hand so she could also carry two beers in the other hand into the living room. Juice was sitting on the couch, sewing a new patch onto his cut. He looked up when he heard her coming and set his cut on the coffee table.

"Didn't want to make two trips, huh?" Juice asked her, amused.

"Not at all."

Juice took a beer and a plate of food from her. "That was pretty impressive actually. You used to waitress or something?"

"No. I do not have enough patience with people to do that job," Shawn laughed. Then she motioned to his cut. "What's that?"

"New patch. Clay gave it to me right before we left."

"That because of Miles?" Shawn asked hesitantly.

"Yeah," Juice answered sadly.

"You had to do it, babe. If you hadn't, you wouldn't be sitting here right now."

"I know. It's not just Miles, though," Juice said and looked up at her. She let her face ask the question. "After Opie and Lyla's wedding, when you saw me leaving in that truck? We were on our way to retaliate against the Russians for having Jax stabbed while we were in Stockton."

"Gosh, that was so long ago, I almost forgot all about it," Shawn said. "Retaliate how?"

"You sure you want to know?"

"I can handle anything you need to tell me."

"I... I shot a man. In the back, actually. That's why I was so upset when I showed up here later that night. I felt like shit and came here because... Because being around you somehow always makes things better."

Shawn couldn't help but smile. She leaned towards him and he did the same to give her the kiss she wanted.

"Have you ever..." Shawn started to ask once their kiss had ended, but hesitated.

"Whatever it is, you can ask me."

"Have you killed anyone else?"

"I don't think so. I've shot at people, but don't think I've ever hit anyone before," Juice answered honestly. "You okay with that?"

Shawn shrugged. "It's the life, I guess. Like I said before, there's nothing you can do that will make me love you less... Except maybe sleep with Ima."

Juice finally let a smile come to his face. "You have nothing to worry about with that. I'm perfectly happy with the girl I got."

They finished eating and settled on the couch together to watch a movie, but not far into it, Juice's phone began to ring. He fished it out of his pants pocket as Shawn paused the movie. She could only hear his side of the conversation, but she could tell someone was calling him to go to the clubhouse.

"You got to go?" Shawn asked when he hung up.

"Yeah, there's a vote I need to be there for," Juice told her. "So you can either come with me and hang out there for awhile or I'll call a Prospect."

"To do what?"

"Sit with you. Phil is with Gemma and Rat's with Tara. I'll have V-lin come over."
