Shawn walked in from dinner with Tig that night to find Juice standing in front of the fridge. He looked up at her and smiled.
"Hey, there's my girls."
"Yes and we brought you dinner," she said and held out a container of food from Hannah's.
"Thank God," Juice said and shut the fidge door. He sat down at the island to eat.
"How was the rest of your day?"
"Didn't do much," Juice said, but his tone of voice wasn't convincing. "Real quiet day."
"When did you become such a bad liar?"
Juice sighed. "Do you really want to know?"
"Now I'm not so sure, but, yeah, go ahead."
"Did you hear Roosevelt's place was broken into last night?"
"Tig just told me," Shawn said. "He said his wife was shot."
"Yeah, she didn't make it."
"Oh, shit. That's awful."
"And then, uh, you can't tell anyone this part. Gemma didn't really want anyone to know," Juice said and Shawn nodded. "Carla broke into her house this morning and killed herself."
"Jesus Christ! I mean, I didn't like the bitch, but... damn."
"Yeah, she had me and Clay clean it up."
"Damn, babe. I'm sorry. That had to suck."
"Yeah, not how I'd pick to spend my afternoon, but-" A knocking on the front door interrupted him. "You expecting someone?"
"No."
"Stay here. I'll see who it is," Juice said and got up. He looked through the window and then opened the door to Fawn Trager. "What are you doing here?"
"Is my sister here? I wanted to talk to her," Fawn said.
Juice stepped outside and closed the door so Shawn couldn't hear. "You here to push her around some more? Or maybe tell her that she should have been the one murdered?"
"No, of course not. I came to apologize. I feel like shit for that."
Juice considered his options, mostly thinking about throwing Fawn off the porch, but remembered how Shawn had said she'd love to have a normal relationship with her sisters. With Dawn gone, this may be her chance to have that with Fawn, at least.
"Fine, but if you upset her I will throw you out of this house myself."
"Got it," Fawn said with an understanding nod. "And I'm sorry to you, too. I would feel the same way is someone pushed around my pregnant wife."
"Yeah," Juice said shortly and opened the door. He walked into the kitchen and looked at Shawn. "Your sister is here."
Shawn's face looked confused, then shocked as Fawn passed Juice to enter the kitchen.
"Hey, can we talk?"
"I, uh," Shawn said and glanced at Juice. "I guess so."
Juice picked up his food from the island and gave Shawn a brief kiss. "I'll take this outside and give you some space, okay? Call me if you need me."
Shawn nodded and looked at Fawn once Juice left. "What's up?"
"I wanted to say that I'm sorry. For pushing you and for what I said. It shouldn't have been you. It shouldn't have been anyone."
"Thanks. I appreciate that."
"While I was out of town, me and Ty, my boyfriend, were doing a lot of talking. I told him about what it was like when we were kids and he was really honest with me about how fucked up it all sounded."
