Gxxod's POV

I drove towards Bas' house feeling a bit nervous. We had not seen each other for a while. Would he still be the same Bas that I knew and had special feelings for?

When I reached the gate of his house, I texted him to let him know that I was waiting by the gate.

When I saw him stepping out of his gate, I got out of my car and went to give him a buddy hug. He hugged me back. Very tight. We stayed that way for a while and then he pulled away.

"It's good to see you again, P'Gxxod," he said with a bright smile. When he smiles, his eyes seem to be smiling too.

"Did you miss me, Bas?" I asked because I missed him like hell. If he only knew.

"Of course I did," he replied, "I miss you especially when I perform on stage with the rest of SBFive, and then when we are being interviewed after the show, I hate it when P'Tae's arm is across P'Tee's shoulder, and P'Kim's arm is across P'Cop's shoulder, and then I am standing there in the middle feeling alone."

His voice quivered a little and it broke my heart. I wished so much that I belonged with the same agency as his, then we would all be together performing and I would be paired with Bas again just like before.

"Let's play some music," I said before starting the car.

A romantic music came on and Bas started humming along with it.

I patted his thigh gently before driving in the direction of the restaurant where we were going to have lunch.

The waiter showed us to our table.

I told the waiter what we wanted to order and then he asked us what drinks we wanted. Bas wanted some mango juice so I ordered the same.

"So when will you be performing next?" I asked after the waiter left.

"Tomorrow we will be performing at the Emporium, and at the same time we will be promoting some skin care products," he replied.

"Will it be just your group or will some other people be there to promote as well?" I asked. I kept saying to myself, please don't let Joss be there, please don't let Joss be there.

"I'm not sure," Bas replied, "but as far as I know it will just be our group."

Bas and I enjoyed the grilled salmon with grilled stalks of asparagus on the side. It was what we always ordered whenever we came to this restaurant. I liked to eat it with a plate of herbed white jasmine rice while Bas preferred to eat it with baked potato with sour cream and chives.

I noticed that Bas would glance at his watch from time to time while we were chatting and eating. When he looked at his watch for the fifth time after sipping his mango juice, I just had to ask.

"Are you meeting anyone after this lunch date of ours, Bas?"

Did I just imagine it, or did his cheeks grow pink.

"Umm... I agreed to meet up with P'Joss at around three later this afternoon, P'Gxxod."

At least, he was not hiding anything from me. If he tried to hide anything from me then it must be something serious, I thought. But since he wasn't hiding it, I guess he and Joss were just being buddies hanging out with each other.

But still somehow, the image of Bas spending fun times with Joss made my chest tighten. I know I shouldn't feel jealous because Bas and I were not in any kind of relationship. We were just good friends just as I hope he and Joss were just good friends.

"Do you want to go straight home after this or do you want to hang out a little bit more?" I asked Bas.

Bas looked at his watch.

"It's only one thirty in the afternoon," he said, "we still have an hour and a half. What do you want to do?"

"Let's go to that nearby park that has a lake and ducks that we can feed with crumbs from the bread that a park vendor sells beside it," I suggested.

"Oh, yes!" Bas replied excitedly, "I remember we also used to do that before!"

Suddenly I missed the good old days when Bas and I spent a lot of fun times together.
