Godt's POV

Three Months Later

Camera flash bulbs popped all around me as I walked down the ramp with the other models from my modeling agency.

We were modelling the latest in men's wear of one of the most famous name brands in Thailand and world wide.

I had to thank my physical therapist who had efficiently brought me back to my normal level  of functioning through rigorous physical exercises and range of motion.

There were times when I was in so much pain during my physical therapy program that I just wanted to give up altogether, but what made me eventually decide to go on was the thought that I was doing it for Bas, the love of my life.

I knew that Bas was somewhere in the audience, cheering me on.

Right after the modeling event, I called him up and told him that I would be waiting for him in my car. I told him the location in the parking lot where I had parked my car.

The moment I saw him approaching, I got out of my car and rushed up to him to give him a tight hug.

He was all praises for me.

"You looked so good in all the clothes that you modeled!" he gushed, "and you were the best looking one of them all!"

"You are too generous with your praises," I said, "but thank you anyway."

"No," he protested, "what I said is true! For real!"

I hugged him tighter.

"Let's get inside my car," I suggested when I noticed some news photographers approaching.

We immediately got inside my car and I started the engine right away as soon as Bas fastened his seat belt.

"I have reserved a table for two at that newly opened Louisiana themed restaurant not too far from here," I informed him, "they have the best Cajun and creole dishes, especially the crawfish and shrimp dishes."

"I would love that," said Bas.

"I knew you would," I said, "we both love seafood."

"Wait," said Bas, looking at me wide eyed, "so, you have been there before! With whom?"

There was a hint of jealousy in his voice.

"With my ex-girlfriend," I said.

"Stop the car, P'Godt, I'm getting out," he said.

I burst out in laughter.

"I was with my mom and dad and my sister, you silly goose," I informed him, "we were celebrating my dad's birthday there."

That calmed him down.

A uniformed waiter greeted us at the entrance.

I gave him my name and he led us to a corner table. The area was dimly lit, with a scented candle and an oval shaped glass bowl with rose petals floating in the water.

The waiter took out his pen and notepad after we seated ourselves.

"What would you like to drink?" he asked.

"A vodka and gin tonic, please," said Bas.

I flicked him on his forehead.

"Don't listen to him," I told the waiter, "he's not old enough to drink."
