Joss' POV

I do believe that my racing heart was competing with the speed of my car as I went on full speed towards Bas' residence before he could call or text me that he had changed his mind.

As I neared Bas' house, I saw Bas standing just outside his gate doing something on his phone. He looked like he was texting because his fingers were moving on his phone screen. His lips were not moving like he was talking on a video call.

He looked up from his phone when he heard my car approaching.

He quickly made a few more finger motions on his phone screen before putting it into his pocket.

He smiled at me as I stepped out of my car.

I know. It's his killer smile that will be the death of me.

With my heart pounding against my chest, I approached him and gave him a tight hug.

"You smell so good, P'Joss," he said, "what is that scent you're wearing?"

"Oh, it's just my shaving cologne," I said, "come get into the car. We have a bit of a long drive ahead of us."

Bas' POV

I had been so engrossed in sending my text messages to P'Gxxod that I had not seen P'Joss' car approaching.

My heart jumped when I saw P'Joss step out of his car.

He looked so attractive and manly and when he gave me a buddy hug, he smelled so good and fresh like he had just stepped out of the shower.

"Come, get into my car," he urged me.

My heart was beating fast when he leaned close to me to buckle me up in my seat.

He actually paused to look at my lips while our faces were still close to each other, before he straightened up and turned the ignition on.

"P'Joss," I couldn't help asking, "were you just about to kiss me?"

He did not answer. I could tell he was trying to concentrate on the road.

Then suddenly he swerved to the curb, put his gear on park and turned off the ignition.

"I'm sorry, Bas," he whispered before grabbing me and kissing me hard.

The kiss went on and on, my hand traveled to his back, caressing him up and down, not wanting the kiss to end, until finally we both had to break away, gasping for much needed air.

We were both breathing heavily, our chests heaving as we both hungrily took in the air that our lungs had been deprived of during our kiss.

"We better go," P'Joss said, starting the car again.

Did he just give me a foretaste of more to come? The thought of it overpowered my pangs of physical hunger.

I tried to remove it from my mind by asking P'Joss if I could put on some music.

"You didn't have to ask," P'Joss said.

He said it with a kind of tone in his voice that made me feel pampered and loved, like he would give me anything I asked for if he could give it to me.

I hummed along to the music that was playing. It had a catchy rhythm and the melody was very pleasant to the ears.

I looked out the window while listening to the music. There were still a lot of cars on the road but the traffic flow was smooth.

Finally we got to our destination.

It was a small restaurant like P'Joss had said and it was a little bit away from the rest of the buildings around it. It was a restaurant that offered international dishes that were cooked over wood fire giving the food a unique taste.

I tried to order a beer but P'Joss said no, he didn't want me getting tipsy on him. He wanted me to be fully alert while we were together.

I wanted to ask him, 'fully alert for what activity?' but I felt that asking him that question might sound provocative.

After dinner, we made our way back to his car and after a little less than an hour I noticed that the car was making its way to a narrower road which eventually led to what looked like an empty stretch of sand beside the sea.

There was a small cottage a little bit ahead from where P'Joss parked his car.

"Follow me," said P'Joss after stepping out of the car.

We went up to the door and P'Joss fished out a set of keys from his pocket.

Taking one key from the bunch, he used it to unlock the door.

"Is this your property, P'Joss?" I asked, wide eyed and in awe.

He turned to me with a smile.

"It can be yours, too, if you agree to be my partner for life," he replied.
