Bas' POV
"Listen, Bas," I heard P'Godt telling me after I had agreed to be his boyfriend, "being my boyfriend will mean that you cannot go on dinner dates or any other kind of dates with anyone except me."
I looked down at my shoes, wondering if I had made the right decision to be P'Godt's boyfriend.
P'Godt took hold of my hands.
"Bas," I looked up at his face and my heart fluttered at the loving, understanding smile that he was giving me, "I can see that you are not happy with my request. Alright, you can do as you please. I will try my best to trust you."
I gasped in happiness at this sudden change of mind. I guess that is what real love does to people. It makes them wish for the happiness of the people they love even if it means some hardship or sacrifice on their part.
I gave P'Godt a tight hug and he hugged me back and kissed me on the top of my head.
I spent the rest of the day with P'Godt, playing video games and binge watching different movies of different genres.
P'Godt's mom invited me to have dinner with them and I was happy to stay for dinner with P'Godt and his family.
I texted my own mom to let her know that I was having dinner with P'Godt and she texted back to say that it was okay with her.
"You seem to be spending more and more time with your PGodt. What does this mean?" my mom texted me.
I knew she was just teasing me so I sent her a smiling, blushing emoji.
After dinner, I thanked P'Godt's mom and dad and told P'Godt that I better get going. Anyway he needed to turn in early because his physical therapist was coming in early in the morning for his muscle exercises and range of motion.
"How are you getting home?" P'Godt asked me.
"Don't worry," I said, "I can always take a cab."
I told his mom that there was no need to see me to the gate.
I tried to give P'Godt a good bye hug but he grabbed my neck and started to kiss me hard on my lips.
"P'Godt!" I protested, "your mom is here!"
"I didn't see anything," said P'Godt's mom, walking away with a smile.
When P'Godt's mom left the living room, it was my turn to grab P'Godt's neck and pulled down his face to mine.
I kissed him hard and long. He paid me back kiss for kiss.
And then we had to let go of each other to take in some air.
"Will you be back tomorrow?" P'Godt asked with a sad and lonely face.
"I have a fan meeting with the rest of SBFive," I informed him, "but I will keep in touch by text."
"No," he said, "call me whenever you can. Or better yet, video call me."
"Okay, I will," I said, giving him one last hug before heading out of his house.
As I stepped out of the gate and closed it, I remembered that I had not yet called for a cab and realized that I might have a long wait before one became available.
I decided to call P'Joss.
I asked him if he was available to pick me up this evening. He said he was not available.
My heart sunk. That was the first time ever that he was not available for me.
Then on impulse, I asked him if he was available tomorrow instead.
Shit! He said he was not available tomorrow either or any other day.
"What's your problem, P'Joss!" I cried, "have you found someone else to hang out with?"
I wanted to fling my phone to the ground when he answered, "I'm sorry, Bas, yes, I have found someone else."
I wasn't going to try and find out who that someone else was.
I did remember him saying during our last meeting that it was best that we stopped seeing each other. Maybe he was right. Maybe it was for the best that I stopped seeing him because it might only complicate my relationship with P'Godt.
I decided to call P'Kim instead.
He answered on the first ring but he seemed to be breathless.
"P'Kim, are you busy?" I asked.
"Yes," he said. I could hear him breathing heavily on the other end, like he had been running a thousand miles.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"None of your business. Bye," he said, still breathing heavily.
I plan to kill him tomorrow when I see him for our fan meeting.
I tried my luck with P'Tae.
He also answered on the first ring.
"What's up, Bas?" he asked.
"P'Tae, I need a ride," I said in a pleading voice, "please do not say no."
I heard him sigh at the other end.
"Where are you?" he asked.
"I'm at P'Godt's residence," I said.
"What are you doing there???" he asked in an irritated voice.
"I visited him because he just got out of the hospital," I explained.
He sighed again. "Text me his address."
I did so.
"I will be there in about twenty or so minutes," he said, "just wait for me."
"I will, P'Tae, thank you so much," I said.
As promised, in twenty minutes P'Tae showed up in his brand new white SUV.
"Are you in a hurry to get back home?" he asked after I settled down in the passenger seat.
"Not really. Why?" I asked.
"I just need to stop by the local pharmacy to pick up my dad's prescription pain pill," he explained.
"No problem," I said, "I'll just tag along with you to the pharmacy."
We entered the pharmacy and headed straight to the pick up window but before getting there we had to pass by an aisle which offered miscellaneous items including packets of condoms of various brands.
My heart jumped when I saw P'Joss going through a selection in that aisle.
There was a young man with him whose face I did not see clearly, and that young man had his arm around P'Joss' waist.
I quickly walked on the other side of P'Tae, taking care not to be seen by them.
"Good bye, P'Joss," I said silently within myself, "I hope he will treat you well and will not give you any heartaches like I did."
