One week passed by and I didn't try to meet her again. The evening time came up and I was walking towards the entrance of the college with my friends. 'Vicky, Naalaiku basketball tournament da. Practice pannirukiya?' Robin asked looking at me.
I stopped walking and looked at him for a moment. An idea popped inside my head and smiled. 'Machan, naalaiku tournament la?' I asked looking at him with a grin. 'Sutham. Neenga confirm out da' Ram said to Robin.
I pulled out Ram's cheeks in happiness and ran towards the parking area. My friends stood there looking at me confusedly. I started my bike and rode that to Ramakrishna dental college. I waited outside the college for her and after 5 minutes wait, the college timings ended. Everyone started coming out.
My eyes searched for her so faster. Finally I found her coming out with her friend. She didn't notice me and just walked away from there.
'Angel' I shouted. She turned and looked at me with her eyes little widened. I waved at her and that made her smile looking at me. She came towards me raising her eyebrows. 'What are you doing here?' She asked as soon she came nearer to me.
'I wanna ask you something' I said and looked down at my bike. 'What?' She asked quickly. 'Actually I'm participating in a basketball tournament tomorrow evening. I'm the captain of the team' I said and paused for a moment.
'Oh! Good luck' She responded. 'Thanks, and will you come for me?' I asked looking at her tensely. 'Huh?' She looked at me bluntly. This is the first time I'm feeling tension inside me while talking to a person.
'If you want to cheer up me in the court means, I won't stop you. You're always welcome' I said with a wink. 'Iyooda. I don't want to' She replied so faster. I looked at her with a sad look and then turned towards the bike.
'If you're okay means, be there in the basketball court near PSG medical college at 5 pm. I'll be expecting you' I said to her. She just smiled at me and then walked away from there with her friend. I returned to my house with disappointment.
I would always practice in the evening but that day I wasn't able to practice. I was struggling myself thinking whether she would come or not. I tortured Ram a lot that whole night asking his opinion.
The next day, I went to college earlier. I spent full time in the cafeteria itself for the first time neglecting all my classes. Ram was so worried looking at me like this. In the evening, I reached the basketball court with my team and searched for her but she was not there.
At Angelina's college:
She attended her last class on that day. It was 5:30 already and the class would end in a few minutes. She turned and looked at Akshaya, her friend who was listening to the class. 'Sha, naan poradha illa vendama?' She asked looking at her.
'What happened to you? 5 minutes before only you decided that you're going, right?' She asked. She was totally annoyed hearing her sayings again and again. 'What's your opinion?' Angelina asked.
'Don't go' Akshaya replied with a sigh. 'Huh? Enna odane ipdi sollita?' She asked with a pout. 'Then what? Do you know him? You just met him once and you don't know anything about him. Better you don't go' She responded with her stern look.
'Point. I shouldn't go. Why should I?' Angelina said to herself. The class ended and they two came out. 'Sha, he waited here and asked me to come. He will be expecting me' She said with her worried look.
'And what should I do the gift?' She cried. 'Which gift?' Akshaya asked quickly. 'The one I bought for him' Angelina said and took out that from her bag. Akshaya looked at that with her shocked look.
'When did you buy this?' Akshaya asked looking at her. 'Today morning' She replied faster. 'Do something' She said a smile. 'What about the special class then?' Akshaya asked looking at her bluntly.
'I'm not going to attend' Angelina replied and turned away. She found her professor in front of her with a stern look. She looked at him with her most piteous look.
'Where are you going?' He asked. 'Ah! Book shop, sir' she replied with a smile. 'Book shop? for what?' He questioned. 'Your book was published last month, right sir?' She asked him back.
'Yes. Do you have any problem with that?' He asked with a smirk. 'Sir, the shop clerk asked me to come today evening at 5:30 to get the last copy. So, I've to move on. You're my great inspiration, sir' She said with a smile on her face.
'Good. You may go' He responded quickly. 'Thank you, sir' Angelina said and started her walk towards the parking area. 'Akshaya, come to the class' He said and left from there.
'Hey, are you serious?' Akshaya asked with a smile. 'No ya. Ivaru book oruthar kooda padikka maatanga aprom dhaana last copy. Chumma' She replied with a wink. 'Go fast. You're already late' Akshaya hurried her.
'For that only I took my scooty with me today. Will reach there in five minutes' Angelina said calmly and rushed out from there.
