Seeing You!

The other day, Angel came in the evening to check out my wellness. She was happy to see me, recovered so soon. But she wasn't too happy.

She left my house earlier, I mean too earlier itself. I was a bit confused by her acts that day but didn't ask her much.

Af night, I was with Ram, preparing for my lab. Surprisingly, I got a call from her. I attended the call, excitedly but a little bit worried.

Me: Hello!?

She: Vicky, are you busy now?

"I'm really busy, Angel. I've to prepare for my lab but I can't say no to you" I thought to myself.

She: Vicky!?

Me: Yeah, no. I'm not busy.

Ram looked up at me, helplessly.

She: Ok, I want to talk to you. Shall we meet?

Me: Sure. When?

She: Now!!

Me: What? Now!? (After a pause) Isn't it late evening already? 

She: Oh, it's ok then. You carry on.

She ended and hung up the call. I was hell shocked and confused by that. I was looking into my mobile simply, without knowing what to do.

Ram: Ennada?

After 10 minutes, I called her back. Thank God, she attended it.

Me: Actually, what's the matter?

She: Sonna puriyatha? I need you right over here to discuss that.

Me: Then come out ya. I'm waiting outside.

I said smilingly but didn't hear anything back from her. Within a minute, she came out and looked at me, surprised. She smiled and came towards me, unlocking the gate.

"What's up?" I asked. She looked down silently, totally upset. "Any problem?" I asked, assuring softness in my voice.

She just nodded her head and that raised the speed of my heartbeat. "Hmm, sollu. Whatever it is, we shall solve it together" I held her hand and smiled looking at her. She just smiled.

"Vaa" She held my hand and dragged me with her. We reached the terrace and there, she stood silently. "Hey, sollu pa" I voiced out, breaking the silence.

"Unaku college life naalaiku over aagidum la?" I nodded my head smilingly and she again became silent. I was confused by her acts again. "What's the problem with you?" I asked.

"I need your help in completing my project. Will you do it for me?" She asked, hesitantly. I sighed in disappointment and smiled at her. "Sure. But I don't have any idea about dental projects" I said with a sheepish smile.

"Just a simple project. I don't have much time to complete it that's why giving you" She said and smiled. "If you're busy, then it's ok. I'll take care of it myself" She added with dullness. " No, no. Just give me the details tomorrow. I'll do it" I said, smilingly.

"Ok, Thanks a lot." She said, excitedly. "Ithukku thaan ivlo tension ah vara sonniya?" I asked, disappointedly. She nodded with a grin. "Nee start pannapo naanum perusa expect pannen" I mumbled.

"Huh?" She looked at me, confused. "Nothing, bye," I said and she just nodded. I reached over my bike and started it. "I'll send you the details tomorrow" She shouted from the back. What!? Then how will I get a chance to meet her?

I turned and stared at her. She looked at me confused and raised her eyebrows. "You've to explain it to me so naalaiku meet panrom" I said, winking. "Ok" She said quickly said and that brought a wide smile on my face. "Ok, see you," I said and rode the bike back to my house.

The next day evening, I completed my labs and waited for her as she said that she will come to my college. I made even Ram wait as it was boring.

Finally, she came with Akshaya. I smiled at her as soon she came towards me. And, the plan was Akshaya went with Ram in the scooter and I got the pleasure of dropping Angel in my bike.

We went to a nearby coffee shop and she started explaining every single thing about the project. But at last, I was blank about it as I didn't even listen to a single thing. But I assured her that I'll complete and give it to her on time.

I dropped her in the house and left. I somehow managed to understand and complete the project on time, as promised. She was too happy seeing that and submitted, wholeheartedly. That was her final project it seems and that was done.

And that year passed away so quickly, I was practicing when she completed her college. She called me on her last day.

Me: Hey Angel!

Angel: Busy?

Me: No! Enga irukka?

Angel: On the way to the house.

Me: Oh, ok.

Angel: Day after tomorrow naan Thrissur kelamburen.

Me: Oh, Super. Ini eppo varuvinga, madam?

Angel: Ithukku mela no return ticket. Angaye thaan inimel.

Me: What? Apo practicing?

Angel: Anga appa ku therincha etho doctor kitta poga poren.

Me: Oh, apdiya?

I was seriously surprised and totally shocked by that. She will never return back to Coimbatore!? I was silent for a moment, I know she's calling out my name on the other side but I wasn't able to react to that.

Angel: Vicky!! Are you there??

She almost shouted. I came back to the sense and listened to her.

Me: Hello!?

Angel: Enna aachu?

Me: Nothing. Naalaiku meet panlaama?

Angel: Panlaame

Me: Ok, bye

I said and quickly hung up the call. At night, I waited for Ram to inform him everything but as always, he already knew everything. He just came and hugged me.

"So, naalaiku propose panna poriya?" He asked, smiling. "What? Propose ah? Chancey illa" I said and looked into my mobile. "Dei, you're not trying to fool me. You're fooling yourself" He sighed.

"Ava illama kandippa unnala irukka mudiyathu. Athu unakke nalla theriyum" He said with a smirk. "Yaaru sonna? Naan ellam irupen" I said staring at him and turned towards the window.

"Acho, ethukku? Ippo ipdi thaan solluva, aprom mathematician maathiri calculations solli, enna Thrissur izhuthuttu pova, athaana?" He asked, smirking again. I glared at him but he didn't react.

"Ennala ithukku mela alaya mudiyathu. So, you're going to propose her tomorrow" He said and sat beside me. "Propose ellam epdi da? What if she didn't accept it? Aprom ivlo naal iruntha friendship sernthu poidum. I can't" I said, thoughtfully.

"Dei, naan thaana sonnen nee avala love pannuve nu? Ippo naan solren, she will accept it. So, naalaiku poi propose pannu. Don't lose her" He said, tapping at my shoulder.

"Everything should go easily," I said to myself. "It'll when you're confident. So just go and say everything in your mind" He said, winking. I smiled and nodded my head. I didn't close my eyes at all, thinking about the things.

I was too nervous. I shouldn't lose her and I will not. So, have to go and say her all these things. Hoping that her reply will be positive!
