Just Friendship!

It was already 9 p.m., and I was dribbling the ball continuously. Ram was talking to me about random things. My mind was not concentrating on both things. At last, I hit the ball on the ground hard. Ram looked up at me with his shocked face.

'Ennachu da?' He asked. 'Therila da. Vidu' I replied and took the ball in my hand. 'Therilaya? Seri illaye' He said looking at me suspiciously. 'Enna edho pesittu irundha?' I asked looking at him with a smile.

'Edho pesittu irundhena? Nee kuptenu vandhen paaru enna sollanum. Naan kelamburen, bye' He said and started his walk. 'Dei, sorry da. Sathiyama kavanikala' I said with a grin.

'Dei, Vicky. Love panriya?' He asked all of a sudden. 'Love ah? Naan yaara love panna poren unaku theriyama?' I asked dribbling the ball again and then shoot the ball.

'You're in love with Angelina, aren't you?' He asked with a smirk. This time I didn't shoot the ball correctly and looked at him with a smile. 'Love ellam illa da. Just friends' I replied looking at him and walked towards the bench.

'You're lying to me for the first time' Ram said raising his eyebrows. 'No, Ram.  Seriously friendship thaan. love ellam illa' I said looking at him with a smile.

'Oh. Love illama thaan avala excited ah invite panna, ava arrival kaaga apdi wait panna and ava kooda veliya porathu, gift vaangittu varathu idhellam onnum illa. Enna paatha unaku epdi theriyuthu? I know how many times your eyes searched for her' Ram said and made me look at him.

'Ram, you know about my parents, right? They won't allow this. She is a nice girl and let her live this life happily. I don't want her to suffer' I said to him. He clearly knows about my parents so he becomes silent and nodded his head. I smiled looking at him and took the towel from my bag that's when I noticed the gift inside my bag.

I took that out smilingly and unwrapped the gift wrap. I slowly took out the gift from the box and a smile crept on my face as soon I looked at it. It was a bracelet having a heart sign in it and in that heart sign, it was written like 'basketball'. The silvery bracelet attracted me a lot and would attract anyone.

I was staring at that smilingly and quickly wore that. Ram looked at me and laughed. 'Why are you laughing?' I asked angrily. 'You're out of control da' Ram said and again started to laugh. 'What?' I questioned him.

'Be strong to face your parents. You'll definitely love Angelina' Ram said with a wink. 'Huh? love panniruvena da?' I asked him. 'kandippa pannuva' He replied quickly. 'Machan, nee thaan da enna save pannanum' I said and quickly hugged him with my sad look.

'Enna aanalum paravaala ava kitta enna poga vidatha, ok va?' I asked him. 'Paakalaam' He said and laughed again. I hit my forehead and packed everything. Then I just dragged him along with me to the entrance.

At Angelina's house:

She was lying on the bed looking up the ceiling. 'Sha, thoongitiya?' Angelina voiced out slowly. 'Thoongiten' Akshaya replied and turned towards the other side.

'Velayadatha, Sha' She said with her angry look. 'Naalaiku nee varuva la?' She asked again. 'Kandippa varala' She replied quickly. 'Naan thaniya poiyu enna panrathu?' Angelina asked with a pout. 'Correct thaan so neeyum pogatha' Akshaya said yawning.

'Last time nee kuptapo naan unna brookefields kuptu ponen la? Ippo vandha enna?' She complained. 'Adhukku bathila next week naan unna kuptu poren but naalaiku kandippa unkooda vara maaten' She replied looking at her. 'Why?' Angelina questioned.

There was no reply from her as she already slept saying that. Angelina sighed in anger and slowly closed her eyes.
