Mine!? Or No!?

I woke up earlier than any other day and went for jogging, just to relax. She texted me that she can only come in the evening as she is busy packing her things. I just replied to it and freshened up myself.

I stayed in my room all day, thinking about how and what to speak. First of all, I've to confirm whether she has any feelings for me. I'm damn sure that she loves me a lot as a friend but the thing is, I want to know whether I'm just a friend to her.

Every single minute feels like a year to me, I wasn't able to handle the tension. I was checking the time often, impatiently. I just can't wait for the evening to come and I feel like pushing down the sun towards the west side.

I went through all the chats of us and stared at every single photo of hers, and that helped me to convince myself. I had a little hope that she'll be mine forever but at the same, the fear of losing her haunted me.

Thank God, finally, the time arrived! I wore her favorite shirt and smiled looking at the mirror. Hoping that this will bring a smile on her face.

I took the ring box from the cupboard. I opened and smiled, looking at it. This will be perfect for her, I thought to myself. The glowing diamond ring brought confidence in me. I smiled and quickly went out of my room.

But the happy time soon became the worst time again in my life. My grandparents have arrived from Chennai and my mom will definitely won't allow me to go now. I looked at all of them, speechless.

But I managed to bring a smile on my face, even when tears welled up. I went and got the blessings from them. They were happy to see me after a long time and they had a lot to speak. But this isn't the right time, I hope.

I was struck at that situation and seriously didn't get any idea to escape. Suddenly, my phone started to ring and it was from Angel. I sighed in disappointment. I didn't attend the call as I don't have the courage to say it to her that I can't come right now.

Let anything happen, I've to try. "Mom" I called out, helplessly. She turned and looked at me fixedly. Not only her, everyone around looked at me. "I've to go out now. There's an important meeting that I've to attend" I said with a serious look.

"No way. You're not going anywhere" She said, sternly and left. "Grandma, tell her. I've to go" I said, hardly controlling the tears in my eyes. "Ivlo avasarama enga pora?" Grandpa asked, flipping my hair.

"Athaan sonnen la? Friend paaka ponum. Varen nu solli irundhen. Poiye aaganum" I said, holding his hand. "Apo nee kelambu. Naanga un amma kitta sollikurom" My grandma said, smilingly.

"Acho, my sweetie" I kissed her cheek and ran out from there. My sister tried to shout but made her shut the mouth by giving her favorite chocolate, which I had for my safety as I know about her very well.

I started my bike and rode it faster to the coffee shop, where we agreed to meet. I was already late and felt totally embarrassed when I found her waiting, so long. I walked towards her with a sheepish smile when she glared at me.

"Sorry, Sorry, So sorry," I said but she didn't react anything but was just looking at me. "Grandparents came from Chennai all of a sudden, athaan late," I said with a babyface. She again didn't react anything, her eyes slowly fell on my shirt and as expected, she smiled.

"Seri, sollu" She said, looking into my eyes. 'Ram olaritano? I thought to myself'.

"Ennathu?" I asked, struggling myself. "Order solla sonnen" She said and smiled, looking at my nervousness. I grinned and placed the orders. "Seri, sollu" She repeated it again. "Ippo thaana kuduthen" I asked, confusedly. "Ethukku kupte nu sollu" She asked, smiling.
