50. Heartbreak.

"No, no, no!" He repeated, he put his hands on his head as her face flashed from confusion to devastation.

Chloe looked at Sebastian and then at Hannah. "Oh god, no." She whimpered. "No." Her breath caught in her throat as the word fell from her lips again before fleeing from the room, grabbing her bag from the hallway and the keys to the Q7, she opened the door and ran out to the car. Seb, who had been standing there frozen with shock, suddenly lurched in to action and ran out of the room after her. After unlocking the car, Chloe got in, started the engine and quickly drove off down the drive towards the gate just as Seb had ran out of the door. As she approached the gate she repeatedly pressed a button on the key fob to get it to open for her as Seb chased her down the drive on foot.

"Chloe! Please! Stop!" He got to the car just as the gate opened and Chloe floored the accelerator turning out on to the road and leaving him standing there, spinning the wheels as she went. "Oh fuck, no." He ran his hands through his hair as he watched the Audi leave. Hannah stood there on her own in the lounge in shock. What had she done? Her hands were shaking as she stood frozen to the spot. Had she now got a chance to win Seb back? After a few minutes he walked back in to the lounge.

"Seb....." She started to walk over to him.

"Go." He said firmly, not even looking at her. She looked at him, he looked distraught. His eyes suddenly flickered to her. "I said, go!" He shouted. "Now!" His fists were curled with the anger he was now feeling towards her. She said nothing as she swept past him, quickly leaving the house.

Blinded by tears, Chloe had only been driving for about ten minutes before she saw a turning to her left, she took it and found herself on a dirt track. As she kept driving she soon found herself among the cover of trees, she hit the brake pedal hard with her foot and jumped out of the car, leaving the engine running she ran a few paces away and was sick from the shock of what had happened. She returned to the car, wiping over her lips with the back of her hand, and stood leaning back against it. She let out a loud cry and then broke down in to harsh body shaking sobs, she bent over as the pain hit her, he'd kissed Hannah right in front of her. The man who had quickly become her whole world had just broken her and she'd never felt pain like it. She leant back against the car again taking big gasping breaths inbetween her sobs as she looked upwards towards the sky, the late afternoon sun was still shining and was filtering through the branches creating little beams of light in this densely wooded area she'd ended up in.

Seb paced up and down in the lounge and looked anxiously at the time, she'd been gone for over an hour now. The house was silent apart from the sound of his pacing on the floor and the ticking of the clock on the wall. What should he do? Should he wait to see if she returned? Should he get another car from the garage and go and look for her? In another couple of hours it would be dark. He went in to the kitchen and looked out of the window briefly before beginning to pace up and down again. Another hour passed, only another hour left of daylight, what if she'd had an accident? He grabbed his mobile and called Antti, maybe she had gone there?
"Hi Seb." Antti picked up quickly.

"Is Chloe with you?" Seb asked, not even bothering to say hello.

"No, she's not." He replied, he could tell by Seb's voice that they must have had a row. "What's happened?"

"I've fucked up Antti, I've fucked it all up." He replied, he sounded frantic. "I've lost her. She's gone." His voice trembled and Antti knew this was bad.

"Tell me what's happened Seb." He said.

"I fucking kissed Hannah and she saw us." Seb leaned against a pillar in the lounge, swallowing past the lump in his throat and running his shaking hand through his hair. Antti was silent for a moment as anger suddenly hit him as he realised that Seb had hurt Chloe and now he had no idea where she was.
