Seb could feel the eyes of every single person focused on them and as the seconds ticked by, he looked up helplessly at Chloe as she sat in her chair looking back at him with tears silently running down her cheeks. The restaurant had gone deathly quiet, he could hear his own breathing, the blood rushing through his veins, his heart hammering in his chest and the ragged, shaking breaths that she was taking as she struggled to control her emotions. The atmosphere suddenly felt heavy with anticipation, he could feel it weighing him down, getting heavier and heavier as the seconds turned into a minute, or maybe two, he had no idea, all he knew was that his mouth had gone dry and he had a sickening feeling deep in the pit of his stomach that he'd blown it. She was going to say no. She simply wasn't ready, yet again he'd pushed things too far, too soon. He was heading quickly back to square one. The whole restaurant seemed to fade away around them as Chloe looked down at him; her beautiful, sexy, cheeky, possessive German. The man who risked his life weekend after weekend chasing his dream, sacrificing time with his young family to do a job he loved but at same time fiercely protecting them from the media glare; the man who, by his own admission, makes mistakes both on and off the track, who hates the fame that comes with driving for the most famous team in formula one and is one of the most down to earth drivers she's ever met. The man who still loved her despite her telling him her biggest secrets, whom her love for eclipsed and outshone anything she'd ever felt for anyone else, even Michael. For her there would never be anyone else but Sebastian Vettel, it would forever be just him. He loved her, he was devoted to her and tonight she'd been reminded of how she had first fallen for him and how quickly it had turned to love. The fear of letting him back in to her heart suddenly evaporated, she loved him more than life itself, she'd marry him now if there was someone here who could officiate. She bit her bottom lip to stop it trembling as she leaned forward in her chair and cupped his face in her hands, stroking his cheeks, she could see fear etched across his features but love shining in his eyes as she looked into them.
"Yes." She nodded, her voice catching in her throat.

"Yes?" He asked, his voice almost a whisper as he slowly stood up. Had she really said yes? Had he really got his girl back?

"Yes." She said it again, louder and clearer and the space around them suddenly reappeared as it filled with applause, cheers and one or two whistles. It was then that Seb let himself believe what had just happened, that she'd said yes. Relief and elation flooded his body, he could feel a smile curling his lips that was so big it made his cheeks hurt and if they weren't in a public place he'd have probably have shed tears of joy. She stood up from her chair, now she just wanted him to hold her and kiss her and he did exactly that; he flung his arms around her, pulling her as close to him as he could physically could, lifting her feet off the ground and giving her a kiss that healed the hurt, lifted her soul and made her never, ever want to let go of him again. She could feel him smiling into their kiss while the applause died down to be replaced with murmurs and chatter as everyone turned their attention back to their own evening. Breaking from their kiss, he left his forehead pressed to hers, his smile still on his face as his hands trailed up her back to finish in her hair at the back of her head.

"My beautiful girl." He put emphasis on the word 'my', something that she couldn't help but smile at. "I love you so much."

"I love you too." She replied, stealing another kiss from him before glancing around them and realising that what she really wanted now was to get out of here and be alone with him.

"This is it for us, it's you and me forever liebe. I promise I will never break your heart again, only treasure it." He kissed her once more, thrilled to be able to do so whenever he liked. "I know I've not got a ring to put on your finger right now but I wasn't expecting this to happen."

"It's ok, you can give it back to me when we get home. We should sit back down, don't you think?" She stepped back, thinking that there was no need for them to still be standing.
