It was now Friday evening, it had been a long day with the two practice sessions, a debrief meeting and another Q and A with the press. Chloe packed away the iPad that Antti had leant her to use so that she could send some quotes to Giulia for the press, and started to scroll through Instagram on her phone while waiting for Seb. Britta had gone back to the hotel after FP1, deciding that she was satisfied that Chloe was up to date with everything and that her and Seb weren't going to start tearing strips of off each other.
"Seb won't be long." Antti sat down opposite her. "He's with his mechanics and Riccardo in the garage."

"Thanks." Her eyes remained on her phone screen.

"Stop it Chloe." Antti took her phone from her, looking at the picture of Seb and Hannah, taken a couple of years ago, that she'd been looking at.

"Give me the phone back Antti." She held her hand out to him.

"Not until you promise to stop torturing yourself with photos of Seb and his ex."

"I need the phone for work, so give it back. Please." She raised a brow at him, he sighed and handed it back.

"There's no point in looking at those old photos, what does it achieve, apart from you upsetting yourself?"

"I just can't get the image of him kissing her out of my mind." She replied.

"You won't do while you keep looking at old photos of them." He glanced behind him to see Seb approaching.

"Are we ready?" Seb gave her a small smile, today had gone well, the car was performing a little better, he'd gained some useful information from both practice sessions and Chloe had been in reasonably good spirits all day. Things had, surprisingly, not felt awkward between them and they seemed to have settled back quickly in to some sort of friendship. It gave him hope that maybe he wouldn't have to wait too long to have her back properly.

"Yeah, we're ready." She put her phone in her jacket pocket and stood up. They walked out together, exiting the paddock and headed in to the compound where Seb's shiny black Ferrari was parked.

"You can drive." He handed her the key, grinning. "I've done enough driving for today."

"I can't remember the route back!" She unlocked the car and opened the door, letting Antti climb into the back first taking their bags with him.

"I'll help you." Seb got into the passenger seat as she got into the driver's side, she settled in to the plush leather seat and briefly took in that new car smell.

"Please do, otherwise we'll get lost." She pushed a button to start the engine, smiling at the awesome noise it made and the array of little lights that appeared before her. Even the centre console was lit up like a Christmas tree. She pulled away from the parking space. "They love their F1 here don't they, look at this lot, I bet they've been here all day!" She pointed to the large crowd of Chinese fans as they left the compound. Seb had his window down, waving to them.

"Hey, just stop and reverse back." He said.

"Why?"

"I'll let them have a few photos before we go, just reverse round so that the headlights shine on them and I'll do a big group photo with them. The lights will help with the photos." He replied. Chloe rolled her eyes, smiling, and carefully reversed the expensive vehicle back as Seb had asked. "Here will do, thanks." He said, opening the door. The crowd went mad as he got out of the car and security had to push everyone back so they didn't block the road. There was excited cries as he stepped in amongst them and people rapidly started taking photos.

"We could be here for ages." Antti moaned from the back seat as she switched off engine.

"It's all good PR." She said as she watched Seb emerge from the crowd, he began signing autographs and posing for selfies. "He won't be long."
