Seb couldn't shake off the awful feeling of deja-vu and guilt. This was all his fault. He should never have brought her here. Those nightmares he'd had and almost forgotten about - they weren't just nightmares, they were premonitions, and they'd come to life in full, glorious, horrifying colour. He sat in the warmth and privacy of the relatives waiting room, every time he closed his eyes or so much as blinked, he could see her. The beautiful nervy woman standing in his gym, shaking his hand when they'd first met. The sexy as hell woman in that black dress and Louboutin heels at the launch of the SF-90. The bold woman who'd had her hand down the front of his jeans when they'd first kissed at the test track. The woman he'd confessed his love to within weeks in Barcelona, during winter testing. The brave woman who'd told him her darkest secret and had to deal with seeing the man who'd raped her at race circuits around the world. The loving, emotional woman who'd proposed to him in the middle of a thunderstorm. The forgiving woman who'd taken him back and accepted his proposal after he'd broken her heart more than once. The woman he loved more than life itself and wanted to spend the rest of his life with. The woman he simply couldn't live without. The woman he'd married in Vegas, his wife. Holding his head in his hands, he broke down. He just wanted her back. He just wanted her to walk into this room, brushing off her wounds as 'just a scratch'. He wanted her to tell him how many weeks pregnant she was and when their baby was due. He wanted to go with her to her first scan, her first check up....
"Hey, come on. She's stubborn as hell, she's a fighter, you know that." Michael put his arm around Seb's shoulders. He sat up and wiped his eyes, he didn't think he'd be grateful for Michael's company after everything that had happened, but he was, more than he could possibly express. You think the police are still speaking to Antti?" Michael asked as he checked his watch. All they knew was that Stephen had been arrested at the scene, Antti (who's injury turned out to be to nothing more than a nick to his side) was being questioned in his hospital bed and Corinna had handed herself in at a local police station. Seb didn't reply, he just fixed his gaze to the door, desperate for news. "I can't believe he was involved, he's been your trainer for how long? Six, seven years?" Michael continued.

"I don't know. I don't care." Seb eventually replied as he stood up and started to pace the room. All he cared about was his pregnant wife who was currently having a bullet removed from her body in an operating theatre. He was desperate to know if she was ok, if they were both ok. What's taking them so long?!" He growled and pulled at his hair, getting overwrought. "Surely she should be out by now!" Hearing the door click and then open, he spun round to face a consultant. He held his breath.

"Mr Vettel?"
