The last chapter is a short one but enough had been said throughout the entire story that I felt like it was best to not overdo it.
If the story would have ended there and I had no desire to continue with their story, I'd have been a little "wordier" with their conversation. But I think things are more complicated than just meeting up at the pub and "living happily ever after".
They've both made a lot of mistakes, and they've grossly mishandled a great many things. Actions have consequences and life is messier than that, so things will get a little dark with the sequel.
I'm a Dramione at heart, even though I've loved James' character in this story up until now. So if you can hang with me through a few more chapters, I hope you'll feel glad you gave the sequel a read.
It's been a pleasure writing this one, and I look forward to the next one.
