Chapter Nineteen

Calum's POV

" Are you the last to go in ?" the burst asks me as I let some tears fall down my puffy cheeks.

" Yeh " I shake

" Okay , you have as much time as you want Calum just remember not to mess around with the monitors " she smiles and opens the door for me. I walk in , shut the door behind me and make my way over to the armchair sitting by her bed.

" You haven't woken up Soph. I want you to , I actually need you to. I hate saying goodbye , it's the worst feeling ever. I love you so much soph you'll never know I just want to be able to take you to the beach and have fun , messing around in the water and eating good food , I want to do all that with you. I remember the first time we met , we both were new to the school as it was our first year in " big school " as we used to call it , I saw you and knew I wanted to be your friend , Soph why do you have to leave like this ? I can't do this without you. Goodbye " I cry , I stand up and kiss her forehead once then make my way over to the door.

" Cal...Don't say go...goodbye t...then " I hear a quiet voice croak , I turn around and see Soph holding her oxygen mask in her hand and her eyes open looking at me.

" Omg Soph " I exclaim in a shocked .

" Yeh that's my name " she replies quietly and coughs slightly. I stare at her for another minuet in complete awe before finally speaking.

" Can I hug you ?" I ask but regret the words that come out of my mouth because they sound stupid as fuck.

" You don't have to ask " she smiles and opens her arms , I run over to her and hug her but really gentle. " Please give me a better hug than that " she giggles and squeezes me tighter and I do the same.

" Omg this is so amazing " I say in shock

" How long have I been out ?" she asks , like she knew she's been in here.

" Nearly a month " I tell her letting a tear fall out of my eyes

" No please cal don't cry , c'mere " she says and pulls me in for another amazing hug , she pulls away and pecks my cheek.

" I'm sorry I just missed you " I smile shyly

" I missed you too " she smiles

" Did you hear anything , like the conversations we were having with you " I ask

" Some of them " she smiles " How are the boys ?" she asks

" Well they actually went home like ten minuets ago , I told them to go because they all were crying like mad and the doctors were getting pissed " I chuckle

" Omg aha , You guys didn't need to cry though " she sighs

" Soph , you mean everything to me and the boys , of course we were gonna cry " I say and sit on the side of her bed.

" Can you get a doctor ? they'll want to know " she smiles

" Of course " I reply and call a doctor

" Calum ! You can't shout when your in Sophia's room " the doctor says

" Well she wants you " I smile , the doctor peers over my shoulder to see soph smiling at him.

" Omg Sophia ! we didn't think you were going to wake up !! ok I'm going to run some tests and stuff like that so you can go home but I won't be today , sorry love " he smiles and walks out.

" Soph ?" I ask

" Yeah ?" she replies

" This is gonna sound so stupid but can I cuddle with you ?" I ask

" It's not stupid and yes lye next to me " she smiles and shuffles along. I climb on the bed and wrap my arm around her , whilst she rests her head on my chest.
