Chapter Seventy Two

Calum's POV

I sit on Ashtons sofa nervously biting my nails waiting for a phone call from Michael. Zach and Ashton started playing on the xbox but i'm too worried to think about anything else right now. Did i say something wrong ? Did i do something wrong ? All these questions are floating round in my head , distracting me from everything else around me. Whilst i'm caught up in my head i didn't even notice Ashton was talking to me until his hands were waving in front of my face.

" Bro , your phons ringing and stop zoning out like that it's creepy " Ashton chuckles and passes me my iPhone, i don't even reply to Ashton i just answer the call as quickly as i could.

" Hey buddy , she's asleep if you wanna come round. She told me some stuff , it's pretty sad honestly " He sighs 

" I'm on my way now , michael leave the front door unlocked because i don't wanna wake up your mum " I reply 

" No , need i think she went over to your mums to have a girly night or whatever shit they do " He chuckles 

" Yeah , okay i'm on my way " I reply bluntly ad hang up making Ashton roll his eyes at my rudeness. I shrug his actions off and head straught for the font door , i had put my shoes on twenty minuets earlier to make sure i could get out as soon as possible. My god i sound like a right creep right now but i don't even care. I amke my way down the dark streets , it's late so nobody's around except a couple people walking dogs but other than that there's no one. Where we live is quite a quiet place , nothing happens and i must say that's a good thing. It's safe to walk around and not have to worry about someone kidnapping or killng you. I sigh as i walk up Michal's drivewy , i hope she's alright. I push the front door and luckily it's open, even if his mom is out i still don't want to wake Soph.

" Calum if that's you im in here , the kitchen "  I hear Michael whisper loudly , i follow his voice into the kitchen to see him eating a slice of pizza and drinking what looks like a milkshake. " Hey bro , she's in the living room but you probably want to know what's wrong with her first " He sigh s, i nod and sit down at the table.

" Go on then tell me " I say quickly , wanting to know what's happened

" Well i was sitting on the sofa watching the walking dead and then someone knocked on the door , i went and answered it to see Soph crying and also dripping because she was standing in the fucking rain. I brought her inside and gave her some of your clothes to sleep in because you left them here the other week when you stayed, i'm guessing they fell out of your bag but anyway back to what happened." He starts 

" After she calmed down a bit she said she would tell me wht's up because she felt rude for coming here late. She told me hoe she's gonna be alone this Christmas and how everything has been getting to her like all the times at school and not having any family around her. She also told me she's scared of you breaking up with her , i'm not too sure why'd she think that but she just said that it doesn't seem right that someone like you could be in love with a low life like her , thaat's what she told me. She was talking really bad about herself and she also told me she's been trying really hard to be happy around everyone so no one suspects she's upset but tonight she just broke and came her because i was the only one without plans an she felt as if she would be weird and you'd definitely break up with her if she told you all this. " He sighs 

" Oh she also said that she had a really horrible dream about how all of this was set up and you'd break up with hr and then we'd all hurt her again and her parents would disown her and yeah , she was a mess tonight " He adds , i wipe my eyes only to find ther's tears coming from them.

" Wh would she think i'd break up with her , I'm endlessly in love with her " I cry 

" Dude , remember when you dropped that glass on the floor when she told  you too ?" He asks , i nod in reply. " Yeah and then you said sorry to it , it didn't go back to the way it was before because things don't go back to the way they were before quickly. She's mending Cal but she's still broken and we all missed that out , she was playing happy so we would think she's happy." Michael replies
