Chapter 10

I woke up with 'the kid' still cuddled up to me.

"Caleb!" Jake's voice roared.

The boy sits up quickly, startled. He rushes to the window and opens it. Then he jumps out.(Good thing this is the first floor.) Jake rushes in the room soon later. "Caleb!" he roars.

"That kid?"

"Yeah."

"Who is he anyways?"

" Awww little princess doen't even recognize her own brother."

"Br- Brother!?"

"Uh yeah brother."

Zane P.O.V

I walk into my study room carrying the food I had made for my grandma.

"Wh-what!?" I drop the plate of spaghetti when I see the mess.

The bookshelf had fallen over and my papers are scattered everywhere. Worst of all though.... Sigh. MY GRANDMA IS SWINGING ON MY CHANDELIER!!!!!!!! "Wheeeeeeee!" She screams. I look over to the T.V. where the Wii is on. Just Dance 3 is on the screen. I can only shudder at the last time she had played that.

"Grandma!? What are you doing!"

"That's right Zaney poo poo! These old hips can still move!"

"Oh my g-"

"Language Zane!"

"Sorry"

"Oh **** I dropped the controller!"

Celeste P.O.V

Dinner was extra awkward. Jake had finally let me out of the room.

"So Caleb how is school?" I try to start a conversation.

"I don't have school."

"Oh," I reply.

Just then the doorbell rings. Jake goes to the door and opens it.

"Hey Celeste," Alex gives me a lopsided smile as he walks in.

I spit my soup back into the bowl from shock.

"ALEX!?"
