I pull Frank into my room and close the door. I could hear the loud stomping of feet heading in our direction.

As soon as we both sit down, my room's door bursts open. Frank grabs my hand over the table, smiling at me and squeezes it tightly.

Three wolves stand before us, holding their elite machine guns towards us.

"Where were you two snooping around?" One growls aggressively at me.

Frank and I look at each other.

"We've only been here." Frank says casually, still holding my hands.

"You two weren't here when we checked. Your scent is all over the house."

"Well we kind of live here," I add, "Either you must have been stupid or you're troop is as useless as you are."

"Watch your tongue Gerard." A chestnut female wolf growls at me from the back.

"Or what?" I mutter under my breath, without thinking.

"Gerard, cool it." Frank whispers softly, squeezing my hand.

I take a deep breath and look at Frank. He's kind eyes sparkle as he looks at me.

"Why was the door unlocked?" The black wolf growls.

"Well, I haven't noticed or tried. Since the last time you assaulted me. I've learnt my lesson." Frank answer back, pretending to be a good boy.

I smile and look away to the wall behind us.

"Don't try anything stupid."

We both nod and hastily stand up as they close the door.

"Look at you!" Paul exclaimed happily as Andy walks with his crutches from the bed to him, "Well, looks like you're almost fully healed. Just a week and you'll be better."

I look at Andy's face. The scar across his face, stretches from his forehead to his right ear.

"Paul," I call, rubbing my arm, "Can I speak to you for a second?"

"Yeah sure."

We walk into the empty room next door.

"How mobile is Andy?"

"Well, he's still got a way to go but with enough rest he will be good as new shortly. Why?"

"I want us to escape, tonight. We have to get out of here."

"Gerard, I admire your ambition but we can't risk that yet. Andy's not ready for anything like that." Paul puts his hands on my shoulder.

"I've been trying to break into Headmaster's office but it's too secured. I can't get in there without being caught so my plan was for me to sneak up there and get caugh-

"Woah, slow your roll. You're not doing any of that. You're going to set yourself at risk!"

"Just hear me out?" I plead and Paul slowly nods.

Paul looks out towards the window on his right. It looks out onto the gardens.

"If I get caught," I say and take a deep breath, "it will give you time to escape. If y'all have escaped, I'll easily get myself out of here since I don't have to worry about either of you."

"Have you told Frank about your plan?"

"No, he will try to stop me. I need to keep you guys safe, I'm willing to offer myself up."

"Gerard, if something had to happen to you..."

"It will run smoothly. Trust me?"

"As much as I trust you, I can't let you do that. There has to be another way, I won't leave you behind," Paul says sadly, "We'll figure something out. Just give it time."
