Chapter 31- butterflies in my tummy

Y/N'S P.O.V

as Ethan and I headed up stairs all I could think about how Ethan called me cute. I blushed so hard and just decided to make a joke of it. I wonder if he was being serious or not

as we get set up in my bedroom as my two-person desk I ask if Ethan wants some water and he replies with a simply grin meaning yes

I head back down and hear Ethan sprinting right down too

Ethan: last one there is a rotten egg

y/n: wait what?!

Ethan: *laughs as he reaches the kitchen

y/n: no fair you got a head start

we pull two cups from the cupboard and fill them with H2O

when Ethan finishes he burps causing me to laugh. I gently place my head on his shoulder and continue to laugh hard

I look up and see Ethan blushing with a smile across his face

ETHAN'S P.O.V

As y/n was laughing she put her head on my shoulder. for some reason it caused me to get butterflies in my stomach and blush. I never get that feeling with anyone... but y/n

do I like y/n?

y/n: should we head up to study

Ethan: sounds like a plan!

y/n: no racing though

Ethan: ugh! fine!

me and y/n laugh and walk into her room

y/n: just turn around quickly

Ethan: why?

y/n: because I feel uncomfortable in these clothes so I'm gonna get changed

Ethan: oh ok. I can get out if you want

y/n: nah its all good, just keep your head down and do your homework

Ethan: ok

I walk over to my wardrobe and grab out my tight turtleneck long sleeve top because I always study in this. I also grab some short sport shorts with white Birkenstocks.

as I take off my top I see Ethan concentrating on his homework with was really good

I change into my clothes and then watch as he draws something on his page

y/n: watcha drawing E?

he quickly closes the boom and tries to not look guilty

Ethan: n-nothing

y/n: hhmmm ok

when I sit down Ethan looks at my and has a smile plastid right across his face

y/n: are you ok Ethan? you look very happy

Ethan: just enjoying our company together, also nice outfit

y/n: aww thank you

I give him a hug and he gently wraps his arms around me

I instantly got butterflies causing my cheeks on my face to go bright red

wait, do I like Ethan?

we hug for a little while then we let go

we keep studying our social study until I suggest we test each other

y/n: I will test you first

Ethan: ok

y/n: what does 'urbanisation' mean?

Ethan: umm. hold on let me think. ugh. oh my god. I know this. ugh. ok. I give up. just tell me please

I go to tell him but he was looking my right into my eyes for the answer. I couldn't help but stare back. we both slowly creep towards each other
