ETHAN'S P.O.V

I confessed to Emma about me liking her but she said she liked James. when she told me, she seemed a bit off. I got mad about her liking James so I couldn't take it, I kissed Emma

She kissed back then quickly ran off after saying ' I cant do this because of the deal'

I walk to y/n and maybe she knows what is going on

Y/n: hey Ethan

Ethan: hey y/n, do you know what is up with Emma?

Y/n: no sorry, all I know is that she is upset because of something

Ethan: oh ok, thanks

I see Emma talking to James and it really hurts me. she has red, puffy eyes.

EMMA'S P.O.V

James: no Emma, you have to keep your end of the deal up

Emma: but I am not happy. I want to be with Ethan

James: would you like me to share your little secret with the whole world?

Emma: no please don't

James: then do as I say and the secret would be spilled

if you couldn't tell, I have a deep dark secret that only James and I know about. if the secret were to get out then I would never live it down

Emma: fine, just meet me at the park after school

James: alright

I had to find another way to be with Ethan, but also not have the secret being exposed to the whole world.

n: hey Emma is everything ok now?

Emma: I guess
I walk over to Ethan, who was with Grayson, and ask if o can speak to him in private
Emma: Ethan I just want to say that I am sorry for running off before
Ethan: it's alright. I know you want to be with James and if that makes me mad then so be it because I want you to be happy
Emma: that isn't what is actually going on
Ethan: then what is ?
Emma: I can't explain because if I do then bad things will happen
Ethan: I don't really understand
Emma: I can't be with you because bad things will happen
Ethan: I'm gonna just go back to The work now Emma
Emma: I'm sorry Ethan
Ethan: whatever
I felt so bad for Ethan. I want to be with him but I can't! This is killing me

The rest of the day goes by and all I do is put my head down and do nothing
