It truly came as a surprise for Nadhine when the teacher announced the arrival of two transfer students in their class.

"It just came in for us that there was an error in distributing the students, and two of them was accidentally sent to the General Sections", Ma'am Tess Avalos, their glasses-wearing Math teacher with straight, long hair reaching the middle of her back and hazelnut-shaped eyes, gave them all a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, though; it's fixed now. They'll be coming here in a little while."

Nadhine pushed her glasses up her long, yet slightly rounded nose as she pinned her eyes firmly to the door.

Her Ebony Black hair reaching her elbows flowed freely against the breeze for a moment as she pondered. An error?

"Hey, Nadhine", Sachi Lieblein grabbed her attention with a simple poke in her shoulder. This action didn't take much effort, considering the fact that they're seatmates. "Were you informed of this ahead of time?"

Nadhine blinked repeatedly.

Sachi sighed. Her shoulder-length hair was tied into a ponytail as her own rounded glasses shone against the light and her eyes drifted to the door Nadhine was staring at earlier. "Guess not."

"Wait, you're not informed, too?"

"No. Weird, isn't it?"

"Yeah", the reincarnation of Eleanor Roosevelt nodded. "It must have been corrected just now."

After all, Nadhine and Sachi were both student leaders; the former being an officer for the school's student council, and the latter being the elected president of the class.

RDMJHS had the reputation of informing the student leaders of the news involving their classes ahead of time, just for the fact that the students can overreact, and the teachers need all the help that they can get, after all.

Like now.

"New students!?", Sean Dobrynin screamed as he shook Essai Alcalá, the reincarnation of Nelson Mandela and his seatmate, frantically. It certainly triggered quite an uproar from the class.

Nadhine and Sachi could only stare at a loss as in utter seconds, the whole class is now screaming excitedly and their voices are practically heard from their classroom to the Covered Courts.

Ma'am Tess sweatdropped. "Umm...kids...?"

Suddenly, there was a loud knock at the door. Everyone miraculously went silent.

"Oh, is it them?", the math teacher smiled as she turned to the door. "Please, come in!"

The door opened to reveal two boy their age; one with Chinese eyes with a glint of playfulness in them, a bit of a rounded nose, and sharp eyebrows; and the other with
Porcelain White skin, bushy eyebrows and hazel eyes underneath his glasses.

"Good morning, ma'am", the one with Chinese eyes grinned.

Ma'am Tess smiled and gestured them to come in again. They did so as the class watched, and they slowly faced the class.

Nadhine raised an eyebrow, curious. So, these two are the new students?

"Good morning, everyone", both of them bowed.

The whole class blinked incredulously.

Ma'am Tess just gave a giggle. "Why don't you introduce yourselves to them?"

The two boys slowly stood up straight, before the one who gave the math teacher a greeting gave a little wave. "My name is Clark Perez, and I'm the reincarnation of John Brown. Nice to meet you."

The other one just smiled. "My name is Wyatt Gallardo, and I'm the reincarnation of Richard Trevithick. Nice to meet you."

The others clapped excitedly. Nadhine and Sachi went along, even though the gears in their heads started turning. Perez and Gallardo...

"Mr. Gallardo, you sit beside Mr. Silvestre, okay?", Ma'am Tess directed the two gently. "Mr. Perez, please go sit beside Ms. Albarrán."

They all watched as the two of them did what they were told. Just then, Ma'am Tess clapped gleefully. "Now that we have welcomed our new students, let's get on with our lesson, shall we? Mr. Perez and Gallardo, get my attention if you have questions, okay? Same goes for all of you."

All the students eagerly nodded.

"Wonderful! Now, can anyone tell me what PST stands for?"

The lesson was complicated.

😮

Yanyan Astudillo turned his crescent-shaped eyes to the side as his glasses shown against the light. His broad, yet thin eyebrows raised in surprise.

He saw his classmates; Moselle Hidalgo, the reincarnation of Mary Shelly; Alyanna Ortiz, the reincarnation of Tegla Laroupe; Khea Bautista, the reincarnation of Leo Tolstoy and Alex Cabello, the reincarnation of Indira Ghandi, enter the canteen to have their lunch as he listened to Sachi and Nadhine. When Alex and Moselle turned his way, he gestured them to come over.

Moselle wanted to get food first, so only Alex did that, since she already has her lunch box with her. "Hey, guys. What's going on here?"

"Hey, Alex", Nadhine smiled and gave her a wave, before scooting over to make room for the newcomer. "We were just talking about the whole issue with the two students."

"Oh, the error?", Alex complied with Nadhine's offer and sat beside her. Then, she grabbed an apple after asking from Sachi and took a bite as she spoke. "You guys weren't told about that ahead of time, too?"

Sachi and Nadhine nodded simultaneously. Yanyan shrugged. "Well, the only possible explanation is that it really was on a whim."

Alex hummed and bit on the apple on her hand again.

Yanyan and Alex are also student leaders, since they are part of the LCLC or the Light Cavalry Leadership Club, which is the club directly under the control of the student council and the school faculty. Which is why they are also as baffled as Sachi and Nadhine.

"Well, no use worrying about it, right?", Alex prompted. "Clark and Wyatt seems nice enough. Sure, Wyatt does like trains an awful lot, and Clark seemed to be the most dirty-minded person on the planet according to the others, but they're fun to be around."

Sachi shrugged. "Well, yeah, but..."

"I think Alex is right", Yanyan smiled. "Let's just consider it just an error and leave it at that. Plus, having new classmates is kind of exciting!"

"We've known each other for just about half a day", Alex pointed out.

"True, true. But we'll be together for the whole school year!"

Nadhine sighed. Well, he does have a point.

She turned to the cashier counter, where Clark and Wyatt were coincidentally buying their food. Though...I have a feeling. It might be strange, but...

She bit her lip for a moment, before turning back to her tablemates as she finished her thought.

I think there's more to this error than that meets the eye.

🤔
