Miia hugged her brother goodbye before he went home. Jim asked the younger sibling if she wanted to come over and say hi to his fiancee, Barbara Kean, but Miia didn't really like the girl. She always thought that her brother was too good for her and he deserves better, but what sibling wouldn't want that? She decided to stay behind at the precinct and started to look over the case files for the Waynes. The only lead they got was the bullet. The mugger wore nice shiny shoes and he knew where the Wayes would be. Again, she felt terrible that their son had to witness his parents dying in front of them. Miia was so into the file in front of her that she didn't notice Ed walking behind her.

Ed kept looking over at Miia whenever she entered the station. That weird spark he felt when he touched her hand got him a bit confused. The only other person he was interested in was Kristen Kringle, yet somehow his mind wondered to the female Gordon. She's beautiful, he can't deny that. She never made fun of him, she enjoyed his riddles. Of course, he would be interested. But that small part of him wondered that if she was only doing that to be polite. So, he held the small bag in his hand as he made his way over to the blonde.

"Good evening, Miss Gordon," Ed greeted happily.

Miia got startled and jumped in her seat at the sound of Ed's voice. "Oh, my god, Ed. You almost gave me a heart attack," she joked with a light chuckle while her hand went towards her chest.

"I'm sorry, Miss Gordon."

Miia shook her head. "It's fine, Ed. And, please, call me Miia."

Ed couldn't help but stare at her. A small smile on his face as she went back to her file. He noticed that part of her jacket of open to reveal her undershirt. It was a low cut so it gave him a little view of her cleavage. Ed tried so hard not to look, but he couldn't help himself. Then he remembers what he came to do. He cleared his throat, his cheeks burning, before he held the small bag up. He wanted to try this riddle with Kringle but he thought he'll try it with Miia.

"Guess what I've got?" he asked happily as he held up the small bag.

Miia looked up from her file. In a small bag was a cupcake with a bullet inside. Miia grinned at Ed. "Is this another one of your riddles?"

Ed nodded. "Of course. You looked like you needed a little break. So I thought maybe you should get another one."

He held the bag closer to her. Miia grabbed it and took the cupcake out. Her eyes squinted as she examined it. Her brows furrowed while Ed watched her. She turned the cupcake around as she answered his riddle.

"Ok, so the cupcake is sweet while the bullet is deadly," Miia started. She looked up at Ed with her brow raised. "A beautiful woman is a dangerous thing."

Ed beamed at her. "You're absolutely right."

Miia gave him a teasing smile. "Are you saying I'm beautiful, Ed?"

Ed kept nodding at her. "Yes." Then he realized what he just said and his eyes widen. "I mean, no! I mean, you're very attractive." Ed started to feel his palms get clammy. He let out a nervous laugh. "It's funny if you think about it. The word attractive. It could mean a lot of things. Like the appeal of an object or -"

He was cut off when Miia started to laugh. "I'm just messing with you, Ed," she said. She held up the cupcake. "This is a good riddle."

Ed smiled at the girl. If she could figure out the riddle then, of course, Miss Kringle would answer it, too. Ed couldn't help but feel his chest flutter as he started down at Miia. He was too lost in thought that he didn't hear the question she asked him.

"Ed, you ok?" she asked, snapping him out of his thoughts.

Ed blinked a few times. "I'm sorry, what?"

Miia chuckled at his nervousness. "I was asking if you want to grab lunch later?"

"Lunch?" Miia nodded. "You want to have lunch with me?"

"Yeah. Is it really that hard to believe?"

"Yes. No one has really asked me...to have lunch with them."

Miia was confused with that. She's only met Ed for less than two days and there's nothing wrong with him. He just seems a bit nervous and awkward, which she found cute. Then she started to get angry at the precinct for treating Ed like that. She noticed a few snapping at him when he asked them a riddle. She almost kicked their asses for treating him like that.

"Well, this no one is asking you," she said. "Just because the other cops treat you like shit doesn't mean I have to."

And just like that, Ed was smiling at her again. "Then I would love to have lunch with you, Miss Gord...I mean, Miia."

"Great." Miia held up the cupcake. "One, do you need this back? Two, is there gun powder in the bullet."

Ed shook his head. "No and no."

"Great." Miia stuck her fingers in the cupcake and pull the bullet out. She placed the empty bullet on her desk. "No point in throwing away a good cupcake. And I love red velvet."

"I'll remember that for next time," Ed said.

Miia smiled at him before she heard her phone rang. She glanced down to see Harvey calling. She held her finger up at Ed before answering.

"Go for Gordon," she answered. She nodded. Harvey told her that he got a lead and to meet him and her brother at Fourth and Grundy in a hour. That still irritates her. She might be innocent but Harvey can't be serious when he lets Fish get away with shit. She hung up. "Sorry, I gotta go."

Ed felt his smile slowly fading. "Oh." He tried to cover it up. "Yeah, I should be going, too. But I'll see you tomorrow?"

Miia nodded. "Of course." She grabbed her badge and gun. She leaned up and kissed Ed on the cheek. "Thanks for the cupcake."

Miia walked around him and started to leave, not before taking a bite out of the cupcake. Ed watched her go. He didn't realize he had another goofy smile on his face while he could still feel her lips on his cheek. He reached up and placed his fingertips over it.

"You're welcome."
